If it is in paypal, and not through a link to PP in email: then you have been paid: PayPal holds payment as well as eBay does on new users.

Open a new browser window and type in paypal.com  (never, ever, ever, ever click a link in an email.)

Log in to Paypal.

If you see the payment, you have been paid. Held payments still show up in your Paypal account, they are just not available to spend. They're there - the money is just on hold.

If you communicated with someone through email or text you can get fake Paypal payment emails. If you do not see a payment, you have NOT been paid.  Never, ever, ever, ever give a buyer your email address or phone number. There is no reason in this world why they need it.

The easier you are to offend the easier you are to control.

You should be able to log into Paypal and SEE the money in your balance even if there is a hold on it. If not then you have not been paid.

You should also at least have a payment notification and a Ready to ship notice in your Ebay sold items page.

You sold a pair of Air Jordans with a new selling account so you are going to be a total magnet for scammers.

Looks like you are a new seller, Do as the other posters say. go directly to PayPal, Once you establish 25 positive feed backs you will receive payment right away.

Feedback is irrelevant!

New Seller holds end when you meet the requirements:

  • It's been more than 90 days since your first successful sale.
  • You've had more than 25 transactions and $250 in sales.

https://www.ebay.com/help/selling/getting-paid/payouts-work-managed-payments-sellers/pending-payment...

Some information on PayPal holds can also be found on that page. More specific details on the PayPal website.
