Absolutely appalled at the way eBay handle sales and their approach regarding buyers despite myself being a member since 2009.
It is transparently obvious that a buyer can create an account within days and purchase items with no intention of paying, only for them to complain and receive a full refund without returning the item.
I have had enough of eBay withholding funds for months whilst earning interest whilst they decide the outcome of a sale.
Please think about the maths as it’s not difficult, but creates issues for genuine people.
I have just lost £1500 because eBay won’t address their failures.
Personally I don’t trust eBay anymore and my account will be closed very soon.
They make money from Interest Rates on our behalf and provide a shockingly low level of service for Zero return.

I don't know how buyer can receive full refund if he/she doesn't even pay?
But, eBay's MBG can easily be exploited and if that's not enough there is chargeback option. Do not sell high value items on eBay, try to find more reliable websites / ways to sell.

Did you get lost on the way to the UK forum?

Here in the U.S., if a buyer does not pay the seller will not ship the item, so there is nothing to return and nothing to refund.
So in the UK, you ship without payment, buyer presumably files an INAD, eBay-UK refunds the buyer as though he had paid (although he had not), plus the buyer keeps what you shipped to him free of charge.
And you're allowed to leave blistering false positive feedback.
It's different over The Pond, I reckon!

If your complaint is they don't pay then how did you lose $1,500?
eBay has stated many times throughout the years that they do not earn interest on the seller's payout. If you can show me where that's changed I'd like to see the link.

A customer created an account.
They bought.
They did not pay.
You shipped anyway?
They complained about the (unpaid for?) item.
You sent a return shipping label?
They were refunded by eBay because you did not refund them?
Even though they did not pay?
I'm confused.

If they never paid, what would there be to refund?
If they didn't pay, why would they have an item to return?
