I put my store on vacation mode but did not check the box that holds all sales while I'm gone. I sold an item yesterday and cannot ship it out until March 25th. Ebay tells the seller that processing may be delayed but I got a message yesterday to be sure to ship the item within 3 days as it states in my listings. Will I get a strike against me for not shipping in 3 days even though I'm on vacation mode?
Thank you for your help.

If you wish to allow your items to sell while on vacation, you need to extend your handling time in order to avoid affecting your shipping time metrics. So, yes.

Well you will get a late deliver mark, but one is not going to hurt you in any way. I would contact your buyer and tell them what is going on and what to expect.
I would also consider changing your vacation setting to not allow purchases while you are away. If you want to leave the vacation setting the same then go into your active listings page and change your handling time to meet the new time frames I think you can do this in bulk?
Good Luck Selling!

I changed it to not allow items to sell and I messaged the buyer to let her know when I will be able to ship it.
I don't know how to change the shipping time I've set.
I've sold off and on for a long time but have recently started selling full time so this is my first time I've encountered this problem.
Can you help me with how to change my shipping time from 3 days to longer until I get back home and can put it back to the original time I set?

Go to your active listings. Select all (edit upper left). When the listings come up, check box them. Then press the Edit drop down and select "handling time". Change it to what you need. Hit Submit a couple of three times, "boom", you are done. Change it back when you get back home.

Yay!!! I did it!
Thank you so much for all your help.
I had to switch back to the classic view on my selling page before I found what you were describing. The new page doesn't have any of that.
Thank you!

So what is the value of the vacation setting, then? I had considered upgrading to a store just to have this. But if I have to manually change handling time anyway, it doesn't seem to buy me anything.
