Selling - taking pictures

Hi everyone,

So I know that having a brand logo or watermark is not allowed on your product photos but what about having it physically in the background of your pictures? For example if I had a business card with my logo or a back drop with my logo on it?

I wouldn't do it.

Showing a business card with your logo and contact information can be construed as attempting to take sales off ebay as a means to circumvent fees.

And ebay frowns on that, for obvious reasons.

About the watermark - that hasn't been enforced for as long as I remember.  Simply make it discreet and not across the middle of the item or in bold font, which one seller I know used to do - ruined the photo completely.  Nothing but your ebay account or store name.

You can have your eBay account name or store name somewhere in the listing, but I agree nothing that would take anyone off eBay.

As well as the fact that anything in the background can easily be cropped out  if someone wants to use your photos.
