Selling - scheduled listing feature broken! HELP!!

eBay it has been 2 days now and an hour on chat with agents trying to get IT to fix this bug.  List $4000 in potential revenues over the past 2 days from this issue.  Please fix ASAP!!

the scheduled listing feature defaults to 3 hours later than the desired starting hour.  For example, I want my listing to start at 9:25pm and the system keeps changing it 12:25am the next day.  Even after listing the item with the wrong scheduled time and trying to revise the listing it does the same thing!

please help!

Selling - scheduled listing feature broken! HELP!!

@amandak-15

Is it a "time zone" issue?  eBay, by default runs on Pacific Time or some such, which just happens to be a 3 hour difference from Eastern Time.

Selling - scheduled listing feature broken! HELP!!

Hi @amandak-15 . Are you listing on the app, mobile website, or classic website?

I looked at your location and you're on the east coast. Scheduled listings are based on Pacific time (eBay HQ in California).

The website clearly shows the time zone, but I haven't checked app and mobile web to see if possibly time zone is missing which is causing your confusion?

Edit to update: I was able to confirm this is an app issue. Anybody not on the west coast will select a time, then when they click save the time converts. So if you enter 8pm on the east coast, when you click save the time displayed changes to 11pm. No time zone is shown on the app.

eBay needs to update this process on the app. Anybody facing this problem I suggest you shake your phone/tablet while the app is open and file a report.

In the meantime just know you'll have to adjust your scheduled time back X hours, depending on your time zone, to match Pacific time.

Selling - scheduled listing feature broken! HELP!!

Tagging in posters that asked about this on the as a mentor forum.

There's been some confusion about this recently because the app used to recognize local time, but now when you schedule a listing it's in eBay's home-base pacific time zone but the time zone isn't displayed.

If you're on the east coast you'll have to subtract 3 hrs from your scheduled time. Once you hit save you'll see that time jump forward 3 hrs to local time. Adjust as necessary based on your time zone.

I suggest shaking your device while the app is open to file a tech report. More people reporting, higher this goes on the fix list for eBay to either add time zone indicator or reprogram to local time.
