Selling redeemable points

I just sold a panini card with redeemable points and the buyer has paid and would like me to message him the code.  Will he be able to cancel the order and scam me?

Any customer can "reverse charges" with credit card company after they receive your item.    This is one of the hazards of selling online.

Best to ship it out to avoid any potential scams. It’s up to you to cancel or not, I have bought many Xbox codes in the past and sellers have just sent it to me so I can get playing immediately. It’s a legitimate request . If the buyer has good feedback and the amount is small. Id just send the code to them

eBay doesn’t offer any seller or buyer protection if there is no online viewable confirmation of delivery of a physical item.

You’ll notice there is no category for these items. They end up in a random category

It’s against policy to list n the wrong category.

The company that owns the game, points, tokens, etc., doesn’t allow them to be traded or sold either.

They have been known to buy these items and when account info is traded, the eBay seller is blocked from that gaming site.

I understand there are 1000s of these listings at any time. They are all in violation of at least one of the above violations.

It’s not what anyone asked, but it didn’t  cost you, or I anything but a little time.

Do not give him the code. Mail the physical card to him (assuming there is one). If you send him the code, he can easily get his money back and leave you with no points and no money. Without a tracking number to input into the transaction, he can claim Item Not Received and get a full refund since you wouldn't be able to prove you sent it. That is one way you can get scammed. There are others. (That all said, in over ten years of selling here, have never had a dishonest buyer, but I am cautious as well.)
