Re: Selling "issue"

Account selling/trading is against Fortnite's Terms of Service (ToS).

From the ToS:

"You may only access the Services through your own account. Users do not own their accounts, and gifting or otherwise transferring of accounts or access keys is prohibited."

https://www.epicgames.com/site/en-US/tos

DO NOT share/sell/buy accounts, or you risk getting banned and/or face legal action if the situation calls for it.

It is also against eBay's policy on the selling of digital goods, specifically:

  • Your listing clearly states that you legally own the content (sometimes called intellectual property) or are authorized to sell it by the owner, the owner's authorized agent, or the law

Re: Selling "issue"

I do not know if that is the only reason, but new listings from new sellers can take longer to be reviewed by eBay before they can be searched.

It will show up when it shows up. No way to see how long that will be. I think the 24hrs is the standard message shown when listing. May possibly take more. Mine show in minutes, but have been selling for years.

Other things may apply, such as listing in the correct category, and maybe other factors.

Hi, welcome to the community forum. Very glad you posted today because as another poster pointed out, you cannot sell the Fortnite account. Ebay has many rules and procedures for listing items for sale, and not everything is suitable to sell here. I would advise you to end the listing immediately. Here is a link on how to do that:

https://www.ebay.com/help/selling/listings/creating-managing-listings/cancelling-listing?id=4146

Also for future info, some digital items can be sold here, but there are strict rules to doing so. Below is a link to the policy governing digital goods. Good luck to you, and wish you well.

The same way every car around you is going down the A1 at 170 km and you're the only one who gets pulled over by the traffic police.

Never go by what others have listed; they just haven't been caught yet.  Always check the list of prohibited items, or the terms on the item itself, to see if it is something that is able to be listed.

Re: Selling "issue"

Interesting. I have been seeing a couple of items I am interested in for sale such as a Sherlock Holmes audiobook for sale for only $2.00 ( my wife is a big Sherlock Holmes fan) and for that price I would get a link to download ( seller states that link would only be good for 1 week) and a computer magazine for $1.99 (PDF version) . Neither of the  sellers description states that the they own or are authorized to sell (according to the eBay policy link that was provided). I was wondering how they could own the content when they did not generate it themselves. Sigh - I thought it was too good to be true.

Yes, that is the same case with any account sale.

If you're looking for a "negative" to selling them, other than it being against Epic's Terms of Service and eBay's digital sales policy--if those two violations aren't enough--I want you to go up the page to the big blue banner. Use the drop-down menu to select "Community" and search for the terms "Fortnite" or "sold Fortnite. Then start reading all the problems both sellers and buyers present when dealing with Fortnite accounts.

Also, keep in mind you WILL NOT be protected by eBay for the sale of the account. If your buyer doesn't pay, tough luck. eBay will not protect you.

Make the right choice.
