I have Beam's Fire themed decanters I wanted to sell on eBay. I emptied the liquor to sell the decanters because I thought it was a violation to sell liquor on eBay. In researching the decanters, I am finding a number of them for sale with the liquor still in them. Anyone know if I can sell the rest of my decanters without dumping the whiskey down the drain?
Thanks

The listings with liquor do violate eBay's policy; they just haven't been caught.

Hi @126celler
Alcohol can NOT be sold on eBay. You were right to dump the contents of the decanters before listing them. You should use the ‘Report this item’ link in the listings that make it clear that the decanters contain alcohol.

There are a lot of items on eBay that cannot be sold. That includes tobacco, drug paraphernalia and vape cartridges, however they are all over this site. Those people just haven't been caught...yet. It's grounds for a suspension in most cases as it is a risk to the community. If you see any concerning, you should report that listing. Here's a link that can better explain:

Happy Selling

DANG! You're dumping GOOD VINTAGE BOURBON DOWN THE DRAIN!?!?!?
Get some clean empty bottles... mason jars, even, and funnel that bourbon (using a paper coffee filter) into the jars.
That stuff was aged 8 - 15 years (depending on what is says on the label) and ENJOY it!

Would 30-year-old Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey be drinkable?

Good whiskey gets better with age my friend. How often do you find 30 year old whiskey?
You can bring it to my house and I have plenty of containers.
