Im sure Im not the only one, but I havent sold anything on eBay in about 2 years. Now I went to sell two iPhones and it tells me that I cant even sell then at auction because its over $10? How do you get around this? Ive read so many stories.
"Request an increase" Did that. Got denied
How do casual sellers like me sell things? Or is this a wholesale market now?
Would creating a fresh account reset this? Incredible that Ive been a member of the eBay community for 20+ years, and now Im shut out
Edit: I figured it out. I have to start my auction at less than $10. and I cannot have a buy it now price more than $10. Ridiculous.
Also what happened to PayPal? Is that not the norm anymore? Now you have to link your bank or debit card?

Due to your hiatus, your account is classified as a new seller and you are subject to new seller listing limits and payment holds.
You'll have to start by selling items within your listing limits. If you plan to sell iPhones when your limits increase, make sure you have the receipts for them. You'll also need to sign up for managed payments, providing your bank info and verifying your ID, SSN, etc.

Holy smokes. Payment holds for more than 30 days?!
Do I have to provide my banking info? Is PayPal no longer an accepted method?

Paypal hasn't been a payment option in over 3 years. You now need a bank account with a routing number & attach that to you eBay seller account. You will be subject to money holds should you sell anything, as you are an infrequent seller, so eBay treats you as you are a new seller. My suggestion is to open a separate bank account from your normal household one and use that account only for eBay transactions.
Happy Selling

Be aware you'll be charged extra fees by using your debit card - $2 for every payout. You can avoid that by linking a bank account instead of a debit card.

If your debit card is linking to your checking account anyway, provide the checking account number rather than the debit card number.
Regarding PayPal, it might be worth clarifying that PayPal is still accepted from buyers to make purchases, but sellers cannot download their sale funds to a PayPal account.
You might want to consider opening a separate bank or credit union account specifically for eBay business and nothing else, so that if something goes seriously sideways with your eBay account, your family funds cannot be touched.

I really would consider the bank account or you're going to get hit with extra fees. I used a Walmart Green Dot money card. It is a bank eBay recognizes. It comes with a routing and account number as well. You can order one on line and I believe the fee is very minimal. I have had one for 9 years and no problem. That's how I get paid when I have a sale. Just a suggestion.

Ya, to get paid, you have to provide a checking account and your SSN.
Pay Pal hasn't been used to pay sellers for a few years now.

I'd suggest not selling the iPhones here or selling them at auction at all. iPhones have pretty well defined prices, but selling them here you run a great risk of being scammed as a new(ish) seller not familiar with how it all works now. Sell them locally for cash only, and meet in a safe location.

I just changed my business registration address and all my 1000 listings have been blocked from any modifications. When I try to revise any listing like a description or quantity or price eBay shows window: "Currently, you've listed or sold 4,222 items of your 500 monthly limits. You can list or sell up to $0.00 more to reach your $25,000.00 monthly limit." Contacted 2 eBay agents. One said: "eBay recently changed rules that I did not notice. New rules start when you open a new account or make changes on your existing account." Another agent promised a resolution within 72hs and when I followed up the agent clarified it was 72 business hrs or 8 business days. 8 business days could easy cost $8000 when sales are limited. I loved eBay when it was working and it kept me busy 14hr/day. And a week before Thanksgiving my eBay store just stopped working. Right in the beginning of the Holliday season when you want to sale more. I deleted 500 listing to satisfy the new rule and eBay says I need to wait a month for the next evaluation of my limits. It took me years to make customers coming to my eBay store. If I stop serving customers for a month it may take a year to recover the same customer flow. The good outcome is that now I have free time to work on Google marketing of my own online store.
