Selling in auctions and not updating bids

My aunt listed in auctions was not working correctly it wouldn't update the bids. I also couldn't delete it I needed help and couldn't talk to a person. So I requested in the auction early and reposted the ad and it sold. So now I'm being charged for wanting to end the auction early on top of somebody paying for the item yet I received no message or any notice that they even made a bid for me to accept or reject. Not to mention I'd already sold the item. What should I do. Their ad was messed up that's why I wanted to end it didn't want to be charged for bogus ad. Help

Selling in auctions and not updating bids

If a seller ends an auction early after it has received bids, they are charged a penalty fee qual to what the final value fee would have been.  eBay does this to discourage sellers from ending auctions early for whatever reason.

This Help page has a chart explaining the circumstances when you can end a listing, and the penalty.

Only end an auction with no bids or very very low bids...I ended an auction that had a ten cent bid and got charged one penny.
