Hi all
I’ve been given a charge for selling but I thought they have already taken the money out
eg
I sold an item for £400 but on my paypal it says I’m getting £380 so I thought eBay have already taken there fee but I’ve just been slapped with an invoice

eBay charges a fee when you sell an item, which is added to your monthly eBay invoice.
PayPal charges a fee to process payments, which is deducted from the payment when you recieve it.
Did you read the eBay and PayPal user agreements before you started selling?

You are in the UK.........and on the US board........ Fees are different......probably get better answers on the UK board.

The percentages might be different but the principle is the same. There are two sets of fees: PayPal fees which are deducted when they process your payment; and eBay fees (mostly final value fees) which appear on your monthly invoice from eBay.
