I would appreciate any guidance regarding first listing/beginning of this adventure. I have personally cared for this large collection since '60's and '70's. I have inventoried, learned documentation, watched pricing, photographed, and become mind blown on the actual first baby step. So many questions! I have LOTS of great pieces from Barbie, Topper Dawn, Tammy plus friends, accessories, and clothing in great condition, complete sets, and extras.
I feel I should list dolls in original outfits, in nude, and outfit separate but this is 3 listings, correct? What about groups of dolls?
I also would like to be fair regarding shipping since items are small and I feel a collector may want many of my items. How can I start on eBay with just one set or doll without having all other items listed within fast time frame?
I'm not in an extreme hurry to sale immediately and have even considered on perhaps adding to my collection to complete certain sets. Any advice regarding this thought would also be appreciated.
I greatly appreciate y'alls time and looking forward to playing, sharing, learning, and experiencing this journey in life!

It's 3 listings, but you need the inventory to support 3 listings. If you are talking about one doll with its original outfit you can't list the doll fully clothed then in another listing list the nude doll then in a third listing list the clothing. What would you do if someone came along and purchased all 3 listings but you only had one doll and set of clothing? Cancelling orders for being out of stock is one of the worst strikes you can put on your selling account.
Start with lower value items and build up a reputation as a vintage Barbie seller.

It's really up to you how to do it. I would think completely clothed with all the accessories would be the best way to go. Spend time researching completed listings. Most times the original boxes is what brings in the most $$.

Thanks! I don't have the original boxes of any but I wish. I understand the value difference. I am researching value along with listing options. Lots to learn! Thanks for your hhelp

Thanks for clearing this up for me. I completely understand. Now, I must learn which is the best route of clothing listed and dolls kept nude. From my research, this is also different within the actual dolls themselves.
I appreciate your advice regarding starting lower value. Really helps!

It sounds like you're off to a good start. Research.
Continue your research of what you have.
I know nothing about dolls, but my thinking would be to sell items that would/should go together as one listing. Don't make someone miss out on a piece that they had to find in a different listing.

never start an auction for lower than you'd be happy accepting. you want 30$ start your auction at that amount..check advanced search for sold listings prices

Thanks! I've noticed the formula shown when "sell one like this" gives a lower value than presently given on other listings.
