Hi guys, so I'm selling some Camera gear for about 500$. I had an auction and the guy auctioned it. Currently, it's awaiting hold in my Paypal account, 507$. It's asking me to print shipping label however here's where the weird part comes in. The buyer I'm pretty sure he's from the democratic republic of congo. I looked him up on Facebook and whatnot, and when I messaged him he gave me a congo address. Here's where another part comes in. When it says to print the label to it's a ConvergEx distribution center in Flordia the address is 8190 Woodland Center Blvd
Ste 89. and then mentions his name and an RN number. I guess my question is, should I ship it to the ConvergEX facility? Will I get my money once its there?

Hi, i think you are ok here. it sounds like your buyer is having the item sent to a reshipper. International buyers sometimes use forwarders so they can buy from US sellers who only ship domestically.
It sounds like you have gone directly to PayPal to confirm the funds are there. (Never use a link in an email to verify the payments.)
Normally i would be leery of sending an item to the Congo, but since the buyer is using a forwarding service, his Money Back Guarantee will be voided upon shipping to the second address.
As for when you will receive your held funds, see the link below with info on how to get your funds released sooner. Good luck and congrats on your sale.

Not sure what is going on here.
Just remember in order to have what little protection sellers get here on eBay, you have to send the item to the address that the buyer has registered here on eBay.
Otherwise, if there are any issues or cases filed, eBay can't come back and say that they are closing teh case because you didn't ship to the registered buyers address. Then you loose everything! Could be the start of a scam.
Hope this helps!

Yeah, the address is registered to his eBay, when he won the auction that Flordia address popped up. However, when I googled it, it was that center which I thought was odd.

Do not ship anything until you see that you have your money in your PayPal account! If you receive an email saying that your money has been paid, check your PayPal account first to see if the money is actually there before shipping.

If the payment is in your PayPal account and PayPal says it's "OK To Ship" you ship it to the address provided with the payment. Sounds like the buyer is using a package forwarding service. Buyers use a forwarder when the seller doesn't ship to their country.

You are a newer seller and eBay generally holds funds to be sure transaction goes smoothly especially on high dollar items. Your funds should be released sometime between the time tracking shows delivery and 21 days.
Ship only to the address as verified by PayPal. They are a reshipper.

General reply
If it was my camera I would reconfirm with Paypal not only because of the hold but being covered in general for an Item not as described once it is forwarded
In Paypal it should say Eligible for seller protection but if it was me I would still call because of the information below
