As opposed to putting an ad in the local newspaper, I did a search for "cemetery plots" and saw quite a few but I'm trying to learn which way is the best to sell one on eBay.
I just read a post where someone said: "I assume cemetery lots are a kind of 'real estate' ... and all real estate is listed in eBay's Classified Section."
Cemetery plots/lots are not actually real estate otherwise a Realtor would be able to accept a request to sell one and to my knowledge, they won't do this.
My search on eBay came up with plots being listed under: Everything Else > Funeral & Cemetery > Cemetery Plots.
Looking at some listings I see they have a price and then: Best Offer + Free Shipping.
Free Shipping??
Others say Best Offer + $3.50 Shipping.
$3.50 Shipping??
Another was Auction Style + Free Local Pickup.
Free Local Pickup?
I saw one with a set price BIN with $11.75 Expedited Shipping.
Expedited Shipping?
Some listings have 1 photo with just pretty flowers and others have a photo of the actual cemetery itself.
Any suggestions or info will be appreciated.
Thanks.

Do you have any idea what a newspaper ad costs?

Yes. Somewhere around $100 - $150, regardless of the asking price, for I think 4 days. If I listed it on eBay for, say, $2,000 I believe the FVF would be $200 if I accepted it. No PayPal fees, of course, because it would be cash. No shipping fees because all paperwork would have to be handled in person.

It almost seems like you would do better in the local paper. But who knows on this one. Best regards

And what will you do if it doesn't sell in four days?
Can you think of any ways to sell it for free?

Facebook Marketplace is free. It will be shown to people within a certain area.
There are also specislty brokerage sites such as Grave Solutions.
And ... You may just want to contact the cemetery and find out if they would buy the plot back.

That's the reason I haven't listed it for sale in the paper. I'm not looking to sell it for free, which is why I thought of listing it on eBay.

What if
What if they used it and then tried to return it?
