I sold my last item on Ebay, October 2018. The item was listed at $29.95. For some unknown reason, the buyer bid $3,100.00. He never cancelled his bid. This action has really screwed up my account! I had to make a couple calls to Ebay, trying to straighten up the transcation. Finally, Ebay told me the cancellation was clear, however, now my PayPal account is frozen. To complicate matters more, my Ebay account was setup through PayPal, to pay any charges with Ebay. I tryed talking with PayPal on the phone number Ebay had given me. After a forty minute call, I never did learn how & why my PayPal account was frozen? I am 83 years old and I do not need this stress in my life! I have quit posting anything on Ebay and will not in the future, since I am now $3.75 delinquent with Ebay! I would like to hear from anyone who can "press-a-button" and make this go away?

The $3100.00 guy didn't pay, did he? If you file a "Non paying bidder report" on the $3100.00
guy then when you close it out, EBAY credits your FVF fees that they charged to your account.
Did you file the NPB on the bidder?

I can see someone typing $31.00 and forgetting the decimal point and it becoming $3100 but I don't know why it caused all the problems. That should have just represented his maximum bid. It would seem that would be easy for paypal to realize and rectify.
As far as the $3.75 delinquent with Ebay, you can just change the payment method for that to a credit card in your account settings in My eBay.

It looks like you got a couple of 0 feedback sport bidders. I have to wonder if it has anything to do with the recent negative you got.
File an unpaid item dispute to get your fees back.
Also I thank you are misunderstanding what is going on with your Paypal account. New buyers get a 21-day hold put on their funds. You can get your funds released earlier by shipping and providing tracking. 3 business days after the item shows delivered, you should get funds released.

It looked to me like the 3100.00 sale was over a month ago,
so I sure hope the OP did the NPB to get fees credited.

Well wait. For the bidding to leap to $3,100, somebody else had to have bid around $3,000.
So, did you file the Unpaid Item and then close it?

If an auction ended with a $3100.00 winning bidder this poor guy got nailed for FVF on $3100.00
And if he had a store, that FvF would have capped out at $250.

Fwiw, my guess is that the OP had the item listed BIN for $29.95, with Best Offer. OP then gets one of those scam best offers for more than the list price, then accepts the bogus offer. Hopefully someone on staff can help the gentleman get things put back together.

I think someone meant to bid 31.00, but neglected to put the decimal point in the right place.

It was an auction that had a winning bid of $3,100, not a BIN with Best Offer.

A review of the bid history. specifically the bids placed by the winning bidder, would suggest otherwise. Unless I'm reading it incorrectly, the winning bidder placed seven "manual" bids that were all at or above $1,000.

I failed to state in my information, PayPal has my account frozen until December 7, 2018. As you can see, I am fairly new with Ebay. It appears Ebay & PayPal communications are bad. Their "Feedback" goes nowhere! I have left some nasty responses with no reply.
