The seller starts talking about it as genuine... and then later tells it's not.
Gov't is not a VeRO member, has no Brand Lawyer, so no problem! Venue will tell you to call the Secret Service. They have jurisdiction, it's still Legal Tender, but they're a little busy chasing down counterfeit C-Notes from North Korea, so nothing gets done. The item was made in China, so there's little Uncle Sammy can do about it anyhow.

I was cruising the flea market years ago when I saw the conversation or the bargaining between a guy and the coin seller. 18 $1 silver coins were at stake. So, I stood there pretending to be curious, and in my mind I was hoping the buyer dropped the coins. He did!
18 coins at $15 each, tremendous deal, wasn't it?
I get home, go to the Ebay coin listings, and right on the top there was this warning, disclaimer from Ebay. In it, it told of Chinese people flooding the market with fake American silver coins. And, grab your magnifying glass and look for the craters on them.
