Re: Selling Question

Acutally you get 250 fixed and 250 auction style listings each month for a basic store....good til cancelled just means that after 30 days, it is automatically relisted and is considered a new listing as far as your free listings count goes....500 listings...sell nothing then this will take up your 500 for the next month as well when they renew.  I used to list good til cancelled but my sells seem to be better when I let the item end after 30 then relist myself.  I end up higher in the search instead of being pushed down lower after each automatic relist.

Re: Selling Question

@alvisng2012 Apart from anything else, there's no point opening a store if your listing limits won't allow you to use as many free insertions as you get with a store.

Re: Selling Question

Hi, You're on ebay.com, which is the US site.  The eBay policies (such as the number of free listings each month and the listing limits) might be different for sellers who are registered in Malaysia.  You should look up the policies on that site.

A "Good until canceled" listing is basically a 30-day listing that renews automatically each month.  And each time it rolls over, it will use one of your free insertions if available; otherwise you will be charged the regular insertion fee for a fixed price listing.

If you list on the 1st, if the month has 31 days, you will pay for listings again on the 31st because it charges every 30 days and not monthly.

Ebay does this intentionally to collect more fees from sellers that do not wath GTC listings very carefully.

If you are going to list GTC, start them towards the last week of the month and you won't have the double billing for quite a few months. When it comes up, you can end the listings and do it all over againn

Re: Selling Question

Also, you can only do 250 fixed price and the other 250 in auctions if you list in the allowed categories only.

every 30 days, not monthly. It makes a big difference.

Rules and policies apply to the site you list on, your country of registration makes no difference.

eBay Malaysia like many eBay sites is for domestic selling only, if you want to reach the world you must list on .com, .ca, .au or one of the Western European sites.
