Returned to eBay after about 15 years, so now considered a "new" seller. Was given a 100 listings per month limit. I hit my limit and waited for December 1 for my limit to reset to AT LEAST 100. I was hoping it would be increased. My account now shows I have 34 of my 100 listings left.

So, how do they calculate this listings limit? The way it was shown since I began, it appeared that the limits would be reset on the 1st of each month. Clearly that does not appear to be the case. Can someone explain this eBay "math" to me? Thank you!

On the first of each month, eBay re-sets the counter for the 250 free basis insertions which sellers get each month.

Listing limits (which apply to total value as well as number of listings) can be increased based on seller performance but that's more likely to happen if you make a specific request. Here's the help page about listing limits:

The number of current listings and sales also count towards the limit. The 100 is an overall limit.

sales + current listings go against the 100 limits.

Your current live listings count in that 100 listing limit, recent sales probably count in there as well but I didn't look to see how many you sold.

You can request an increase, but I'm not sure how soon or often they will give an increase.
