Sellers using Ebay for Business on FB- getting a sign in requirement using skio.lo etc. Legit?

As stated in title.

Also wondering why, everything I chose- did not let me 'get a phone call' or anything, yet a buyer with a (1) by their name has been able to contact ebay not once, but twice.

Sorry, my communication was not clear. The FB thing is completely different than just the 'phone call from ebay CSR' thing.

Regarding using E for B on FB- they are now giving you a link to click, which has you 'sign on using password' before they can help you. No more 'name etc. requests'. I found 1 thread about in from just this Jan, but nothing since and still not sure how 'legit' that is. The link 'takes to you ebay sign on page' when you input your ebay sign on name and password.

Hi @stainlessenginecovers - that's the correct experience for messaging the eBay for Business Facebook page. It's a change from the way it used to work, but allows teammates to verify you almost immediately. Thanks!

A bit confused, but if you mean contacting eBay C/S through the eBay facebook page... I've always had good luck. (I do think I had to 'Log in' to fb to reach out... but I really don't remember.) I've never received a phone call, but I get two-way email communications.

Buyers have privileges here on eBay and elsewhere.

Sellers, not so much. I use direct messaging thru Twitter to contact seller support.

tyler@ebay I'm still curious why eBay switched to that for support via the Facebook channel, but not Twitter? AskeBay on Twitter still just asks for name/email/zip code in a private message for verification.

Hi @valueaddedresource - roll outs take time to configure and adapt for each social channel. The eBay for Business Facebook page was the first, with plans to implement for all social channels in the future.
