Just wanted to give a heads up to other sellers on Ebay about Seller and their fraudulent shipping fees.
I ordered a product from them from their US warehouse and it clearly states $9.89 for shipping via DHL Express on the website. However, when placing the order it charged me $19.56
When contacting support they said it was a "remote fee" for shipping to US address. I'm like..**bleep**?
I ordered from a US warehouse but apparently the item isn't coming from US.
When I complained they told me I could buy the item from the Chinese warehouse and shipping charges wouldn't change and was lower. When I looked the same item was $90 more then the US warehouse price.
So beware when you order products from Seller and aren't free shipping because you never know what the actual shipping prices will be as apparently they DO NOT have to abide by the shipping price stated on product page.
They have refused to refund the price difference.
I feel this is complete fraud.
Your thoughts or opinions are welcomed on what to do.

You said that the shipping amount was listed on their website. An ebay store or the .com site you listed? Did you buy from their website or on ebay?

You might want to check to see where the seller is located before purchasing, as this is not uncommon when you buy from China.
Item is listed as in the US, but ships from China.
Many times too good to be true turns out to be exactly that.

I would have assumed that product was shipping from US since I was in the US warehouse site

Their ebay listings show item locations in China and at least one also listed in Georgia USA. So I would expect that to be shipped from Georgia, for example.
Did you use a credit card?
I would agree that is Intentional deception if they switch the price.
I have to ask; did you willingly pay the surprise extra postage at checkout or was it added/demanded after you paid
There is nothing that ebay can do since it wasn't purchased here, of course.

I was reading another post about DHL charging a Remote Fee. Looks like it would figure the fee in the shipping charged shown at checkout.

@thriftyfindspnw You sold an item you didn't have and thought you could then use part of the buyer's payment to buy it from a third-party retailer for less $ than you sold it, have it shipped to your buyer, and make a profit?

This is not your seller's place of business, this is Ebay and they have no control on purchases outside of Ebay. You need to complain at the site you purchased the item from.

So a dropshipper got caught up in something proving why dropshipping is a terrible idea.
Cool.

You bought it from their site, not ebay, to sell to your customer on ebay?
Why complain on ebay boards when you bought from another site???

Morning,
Looks to me like you are a new seller and are not understanding how difficult it is to use another seller to fulfill your customers orders.
If you think this is ebays fault and/or the other seller you were relying on then you are not very prepared to sell here.
This time it cost you money, the next time it could get you a defect for not having the goods that you sold.

Serendipity.
Dropshippers... what a pain. When I buy something (yes I buy as well on ebay) I expect that person to have an item in their possession and get it out to me ASAP... not hunt around, buy it from someone else, then send it to me. I'm sitting on my thumbs right now for some items I bought to repair a saddle - I can't sell it until I get those items in. Seven days later, still not shipped. I check the feedback more thoroughly, and lo there... I suspect this is a common issue with this seller since they routinely pull items and say no longer available AFTER the purchase is made *meaning they can't get them for the price advertised* or it takes for. everrrrrr.... to get the items.
This makes me want to start selling Rolex watches and Bentleys on here and dropshipping them.
(not really)
