I purchased this eLog a few months back from another eBay seller as new. Never opened or used it as I never got into trucking. So, I turned around and sold it on eBay as new with no returns accepted. New buyer is complaining that it's defective. He has submitted photos of violations claiming that he got one only after about an hour of driving when legally he's allowed 11 hours of drive time. Problem is, violation shows at start time, not at end time so it has to do with what happened the day prior which he submitted no screenshots of. I asked him for photo of the serial number on device, which he's not sending. I forwarded him a video to do initial set up on the device, but he says, he doesn't need it as the device has messed up the entire electrical system in his tractor. This Is a Garmin device, not some off brand to cause this to happen. I asked him for photo of the serial number on device, which he's not complying with. I only want to make sure he will be returning the device I sent him, not another device he had issues with.

Although it would be ideal, there is no guarantee that the buyer will return the item you sent them, pics or no pics.

What would this accomplish? He can just send you a picture of one unit, and return a different one.

@neosa-10 I would tell him to open a return on ebay asap. No returns does not mean No Refunds. If you refuse to accept the return, ebay will step in and automatically refund him and let him keep the item. Ebay can also charge you a $20 dispute resolution fee. I wouldn't argue with the buyer. Have them open a return, send them a return label, issue a refund and resell once you get the item back. Good Luck.

If you sold the item as new and it does not work, it should have the warranty associated with a new item.
If it does not have the warranty, it was not new. Ebay does display New (Other) in some categories.
Ebay will often honor "not as described" claims if the item does not work, no matter what the condition.
