Every time I call up I hear oh I see you have been a member for over 17 years thank you so much when what they should be saying is I see you have been letting us abuse you for over 17 years thank you so much. So sick of getting screwed over by buyers and Ebay refuses to do anything about it even in the rare cases that the buyers slip up and admits in writing they are screwing me. They allow buyers to misuse the return system over and over ,everyone knows all you have to do is say a item is not as described rather than choosing bought wrong item or by mistake and now its the sellers responsibility to pay all shipping charges. Countless times I get a buyers old part back instead of my part and a a couple times just a box of garbage ,think Ebay stands by me? 17 years of selling millions of dollars sold, nope they rather side with someone with a feedback score of zero like they did last week when someone bought a item took the parts they needed out of the unit and sent me back the rest. Got a underserved feedback? Doesnt matter because its the buyers opinion ,doesnt matter if its complete lies like the one I got today. They deleted the comments but still have a underserved negative .Something has to change Ebay this is getting out of control. You claim to offer seller protection but I have never seen it.I know I know " its the cost of doing business "

everyone knows all you have to do is say a item is not as described
Any buyer can steal any item from any seller at any time by filing a fraudulent dispute. That has been true on eBay since 2008, and it is not likely to change anytime soon.
You claim to offer seller protection but I have never seen it.
Your buyers are claiming Not As Described. eBay seller protection does not say it will protect sellers from a buyer's claim an item is not as described.

That is true however it has gotten a lot worst over time. I cant tell you how many times Ive called up pointed out a situation had the agent 100% agree with me and say they will take care of it but never to. I have actually had a couple customers tell me its not ebay its freebay because its so easy to missuse there system and get free stuff.Imagine being so bold to say that and still get a free item by screwing a seller.Ebay doesnt care,Its just the cost of doing business according to them

I just had a buyer file a SNAD on me before he could have possibly even received the items to inspect them. eBay is firmly on his side, despite me having photographic evidence that proves the items were as described prior to shipment and during packaging. The buyer lives in Australia, the item was delivered to a 3rd party shipper in California, and won't even be put on a shipping manifest to Australia for another 2 weeks. Classic fraud, and eBay won't even investigate. As a result, my funds are on hold until I issue a refund, which I'm not going to do until I receive the return, which eBay has given the buyer THREE WEEKS to ship. The scammer is literally holding my life hostage right now, and eBay doesn't give a toss. So no, there is absolutely no seller protection on this platform, which is why I will be taking my business elsewhere.

That blank negative isn't hurting your FB, it is the other ones.
Without knowing the specifics of the issue you are trying to work through now, it is hard to try and help.

You have seller protection in this situation if it is an eBay case which I assume it is since you mentioned a return. The buyer looses their MBG coverage when a FF or third party shipper is utilized although it may take you some time to work through this case/scenario since the buyer is responsible for the shipping cost back to the FF. Had this been a INAD chargeback you would have had little hope of prevailing.

According to the dozen eBay CSRs I spoke to yesterday, NONE of anything you typed is true. They made it crystal clear I had absolutely no protection against the scenario outlined above. None. I know what their policy says. I pointed out to them what their policy says. But after 8 hours of trying to get help, I received none whatsoever.

Have you tried to contact the FF company and see if you can pay to have them ship it back to you? I have no idea if that is even possible but it might be worth a try. If it is not yet shipped to Australia.

How do you know it is not on the shipping manifest? You must have contacted either USPS or whatever shipping service to find out? Can you make a request to have the item stopped from going to Australia at this point?

I am having a very hard time understanding how a buyer can claim not as described when the item has not even made it to them yet and Ebay saying they cannot help you. They will make the buyer return the item I believe at this point. Ther problem is who is going to pay for the international ship back?

You have to use the protection of issuing only a partial refund for merchandise sent back that has been damaged by the buyer, sent wrong item back, eg switcheroo, and /or taking parts they want and sending back the rest. Fix their butts that way.
