I am the seller. The buyer bought an item that has not been in our active products for over a year. How can we refund our customer and rectify this situation without having it affect our grade?
This is the 4th time an item has shown up as active after an item was deleted or previously sold.
Please may i speak to a human?

It's not a bad address, they need to cancel as Out Of Stock.

If this is the 4th time this has happened, I smell operator error.

Contact the buyer with an offer they cannot refuse. You can say with all the changes that has been going on that your still working out the bugs in the system. Tell them how bad you feel and you want to make it up to them. Hopefully it will not cost you much depends on the price of the missing item. As for getting someone from ebay by the time you do that the buyer may not be so understanding.

You will need to cancel as Out Of Stock.

The honest thing to do would be to cancel the order citing 'Out of stock/Item no longer available'. Yes, you'll get a ding for that, but you're allowed two per year before eBay whacks your hand. Revisit all of your listings. Good luck.

So falsifying the reason for cancellation seems like a good idea?

anceling orders with the reason "bad shipping address" to trigger automatic refunds for customers, receive a refund on selling fees, and avoid account defects and I am currently promotes electrical tools like generators on my blog to earn commissions. I am interested in joining eBay's affiliate program and seeking guidance from experts on whether eBay offers such a program.
