Hello, I sold an item on 04/26. I had to open an unpaid item case on 05/09. I finally got paid on the 13th while I was away and did not get shipped until the 16th. I have 2 day handling time. It does not seem fair to have to deal with that bad mark for a year since I was ready and able to ship ONTIME if it had been paid ontime. Any suggestions? Joe

Why did you wait 13 days to open the UPI?
You could have opened it after 2 days and closed it after another 4.
Sorry but in my opinion you're the one who caused yourself this issue.

OP, you can open an unpaid item dispute 48 hrs after the listing ends. Then you close it in 96 hrs.
Any suggestions? Open your cases sooner. The shipping clock starts when they pay. Your lengthy gap in opening the case caused this situation.
Sorry, OP, but if shipping in two days is a problem, change your handling time to three or more days.

If you were paid on the 13th and have a 2 day handling time then you should have shipped on the 15th.
You shipped late it's as simple as that. If you SOLD something on the 13th and it was paid for the same day you also have to ship by the 15th so the reality is that the fact the buyer was slow to pay you is irrelevant unless you think that a late payment means it's ok for you to ship later than you promised.
Now if this is something that very rarely happens then 1 late shipment ding isn't going to have any effect whatsoever on your seller status.

Also it's worth noting that you can setup UPIs to open automatically for you so you don't even need to worry about keeping track of them if you don't want.
