I need to speak to a representative on Ebay. There is no phone number to call. I've sold on Ebay for 25 years and never had this problem. Is there a phone number I can call????

Did you use the proper return process? If you refunded before the buyer returned the item, I'm afraid you are out of luck.

You are better off posting your issue here. There is not a phone for eBay.
If you care to post your problem here, folks can solve or point you in the right direction.

What problem?
Most issues on eBay can be resolved without a phone call or even a message.
How about telling us about your problem?

Did you mean the buyer needs to return an item? There has not been a number for eBay in a long time. Go to help & contact, ask eBay to call you back or you can have them text you.
Good luck.

Seeing the answer that you marked as helpful, have to ask DID you refund before you had received the item back?

After selling for 25 years, one should know the difference between a BUYER and a SELLER.
No one will be able to offer ANY assistance if you don't give some details. "Guess the problem" in these threads is getting old. If one wants help, you need to explain what is going on and what you have done.

No I didn't refund him the money. It was so complicated as the buyer did not live in the US. He had the club sent to a person in NY. The person in NY said that he would get it sent to me but it has taken days. Finally I got the tracking number. That person wants me to pay for shipping which I told him I would do. $15.50 for the shipping and he wants $25.00 for his time. The buyer should reimburse the person who received the club. I know it was our mistake but this has been a nightmare and Ebay has been NO HELP!!

You're under no obligation to pay anyone anything unless/until tracking shows the item delivered back to you. And when it does, all you owe is the amount the buyer paid for the item and their original shipping. It's HILARIOUS that this middleman thinks you are the one with an incentive to pay him for his time. If anything, you have the incentive to tell him to keep the item for himself! You didn't ask for a 3rd party to get involved -that's the buyer's problem.

To explain my problem...I am the seller. I've been selling golf clubs for my husband. He accidentally mixed up two clubs. The first person sent me back the club. The second person has been the problem. He had the club sent to a person in NY because he lives in Canada. The person who received this club said he couldn't print a return label. I didn't know how to do it for him. I looked and looked but had no luck. So the man with the club finally took it to the post office and it's on it's way back to me. He paid $15.50 for shipping and wants $25 for his time. When I refund the buyer his money I think I will again pay for the shipping even though I just paid for the man in NY. What a mess!!! I know it's our fault but Ebay has changed so many things. I guess I will chalk it up as my mistake and eat the money difference. Karen

Start over --you, the seller, sold an item to the buyer. He had it sent to an address in NY. Was that the address of a freight forwarder? The buyer returned it-- to whom and why and maybe when? Of course, you are not going to pay him for his "time". That's absurd.

If the buyer can't return the item I don't see what the problem is or why you need to speak to anyone.
Let them figure it out.

You responders need to SLOW down and READ what people are posting.
The seller sold two clubs to two different buyers. The seller mixed up the orders. The seller is in a pickle with one of the buyers (who was in Canada). I see the problem, and yes you have a mess.
What should have happened is BOTH buyers should have opened an INAD case, and got a return label from eBay. The Canadian seller should not have been shipping where ever they felt like. IF they had t sent to a US receiver to save themselves duty, then the simple thing should be a return label from you, to the receiver shop. The Canadian buyer made trouble for themselves with all this hassle. IF that was the case anyway. Were this sent EIS then this should not have been happening.

You are overthinking a simple situation
If the middle man in NY can not or will not print the label that is not your problem. tell them either use a printing service, public library or buy their own label. If they CHOOSE buy their own label you are not obligated to reimburse them the cost OR their time period.
There is no need to overcomplicate things by getting in touch with a poorly trained CSR who will not understand what is happening OR send any money to a third party that is not the buyer.

Why would the seller need to return an item?
Do you mean buyer?
In any case, the buyer does not have to have any "luck" to return an item.
