This whole "make an offer" thing is confusing me... I finally figured out how to make an offer to my item watches which I have been doing on a consistent basis with absolutely zero success and I never thought much of it except that it was fairly useless. But then this past weekend I was doing a little eBay shopping and put a few things on my watch list - and got an offer from the seller of one of the items - and here is where I don't think it's working as it should.
1. I didn't get notification of the offer through e-mail or even my eBay mail - it appeared as a message in the alert bell at the top of my page - if I hadn't clicked on that I wouldn't have known about it.
2. Next problem - when I did see the message and clicked on it, it took me to the listing but there was noting on that page that showed the special offer - how am I supposed to buy it at the new price?
3. I went all through all the tabs in my account and couldn't find the offer anywhere, by this time I had received another offer on a different item and same deal - offer given but no way to accept it
what am I missing?

I'm confused, too. I received an offer on an item I was watching only yesterday. The offer is still in my 'Messages', so I checked mine just now. I have a dark blue (navy) box to 'Review the Offer' and the standard light blue description that takes me to the listing. Do you not have that?
On a side note... I rarely send offers to watchers. I haven't found it to generate many sales, either.

That's where I would expect it to be but no - neither are showing up in my messages I just know they exist because I got a message about them on the bell alert button but when I click on the message from there it just takes me to the listing with no way to accept the special price!

I used to only be able to find offers in my messages. The only way to see them was by clicking on the link in the message. A couple of weeks ago the offers started showing up in the listings themselves. Maybe they’re slowly rolling it out to every buyer?
the offer not in messages is weird though, wonder if that part is a glitch not how it is supposed to work?

remember nothing is a glitch - always a feature! This feature is a budgeting one meant to prevent me from spending money! 😀

I'm not crazy - there is a problem! I finally broke down and called and apparently there is a glitch (feature) - if an offer is made from ebay.com you can't accept it from ebay.ca, you have to go to ebay.com to accept it! Probably not a big enough market/issue for them to bother fixing so I'm not holding my breath that it will be resolved but at least now if I wanted to accept an offer there is a way to do it!
Of course now I'm curious if the problem is happening the other way too and that's why I'm not getting my offers accepted - maybe .com users can't accept .ca offers...?

For .com this is how they show up.
Received in "notifications" AND email, not in ebay messages.
I don't shop outside of US on ebay so I am not sure about .ca.
I have had zero success sending them, but I have accepted many as a buyer. I only watch items I am likely to actually buy now though.

thanks that's helpful - even when I go to .com my page looks the same and the offers don't show up anywhere except the alerts - but when I click on one through the alerts I can see the offer option on the listing page so that's something! Any chance I could ask you to watch one of my listings so I could try sending you an offer and see what happens or how or if you even get it? TY!

In the past when receiving an offer from some eBay sellers, of one of a kind items, EBay would only permit me to make the purchase at the full & not the offer price.
Both seller & buyer on .com
Customer support blamed the sellers for improperly setting up send watcher an offer.

thank you @lgonzalez28 I sent you an offer - let me know how it looks on your end!

thanks @lgonzalez28 Ok so a .ca problem - I guess that's good! Do me one more favour and decline the offer - just curious if it will alert me in any way or not.
And my message was entirely factual, you should consider that purchase earnestly!
