I purchased an adult item on a private listing, and the seller left me positive feedback for the sale.
Even though the listing says private, the sellers name and feedback score is visible so anyone can click on it ans see this seller is in the business of selling adult items, and pretty much deduce what I bought from it. So much for eBay protecting my privacy.
I went to my dashboard to request feedback revision but I got the message "None of your Feedback is eligible for revision" I'm guessing because it was positive feedback.
Is there any way for the seller to remove the feedback left for me?

Yep you'd probably have to call ebay to have it removed.

In the future you may want to consider purchasing as a "guest", for anything that you want to reduce the trail on.

^^^^ This
Or use another id exclusively for "sensitive" purchases and don't tell anyone what it is.

It would be nice if either feedback could not be left on private auctions, or eBay did a better job of hiding the tranasction, but it's a lesson learned.

Nope! I've already tried Of course it wasn't an adult item tho...suuuuuure

Did you ask the seller not to leave feedback?
Given the category they probably get those requests from time to time and would be responsive to your request.
While I don't care if people could figure out what I buy on eBay it wouldn't ever happen because nobody other than eBay and sellers I've bought from know what any of my buying id's are.

There is nothing in that userID that would make anybody look farther ... unless you raised a question.

To prevent this sort of thing in future.
Don't buy and sell on the same account.
Don't tell anyone your eBay ID.
Don't tell anyone your eBay password.
Log out when you are finished with eBay.
Generally though, no one cares.
You're just not all that interesting.
None of us are.

You know some people may think that's rude, but I honestly understand what you mean and have come to agree with that.
I find I am often worried about what everyone will think about every little thing I do, but then I come to realize, nobody really cares. Nobody is going to be examining every life choice I make about dinner or whether or not I showered today.
That's only for celebrities to worry about.
