Seller has blocked me and I don't know why

it appears he has blocked me and I would like for him to unblock me

Sellers are permitted to set buyer requirements or even block a user from bidding or buying, and sellers are not required to justify or explain such blocks.

Find another seller that wants your business to purchase from.

Exactly what message do you receive when trying to bid? 

There are a few reasons why you might not be able to bid on their items. 

1) You have received two unpaid item strikes in the last year, and are automatically being blocked. 

2) You may have had a less than good transaction with them in the past and they blocked you.

3) If the seller is newish and you bid on or bought 1 of their items in the last 10 days, they may not know there is a default Buyer requirement that automatically blocks buyers who:

Are currently winning or have bought (1  v ) of my items in the last 10 days.

If you check their feedback profile page, and see that the seller has just started selling you may want to try contacting them and tell them to check their buyer requirements and ask them to change that one.  Tell them to search online for "Setting buyer requirements on ebay"

If you think you may have been blocked by #s 1 & 2 the seller probably has blocked you from contacting them as well.  If you think it is #3 they probably have not blocked messages.

Here is the message I get

You are unable to purchase this item due to restrictions from the seller. Please contact the seller for more information. (3008).

We're sorry we couldn't find an answer for you. Unfortunately this seller is not able to respond to your question. We suggest reviewing the item again to see if your answer is in the seller's listing.

There are two likely reasons you'd get that message. Have you purchased a number of items from that seller in a short period of time? Sellers can limit the number of their listings a buyer can purchase in a 10-day period.

The other reason is that you have at least two unpaid item strikes. Sellers can block members who have two or more strikes for up to a year. If that's the case, you can expect to find yourself blocked by other sellers as well.
