Seller from India stealing my jewelry listing and apparently others!

A potential buyer has contacted me to alert me that there are two listings of my item! Apparently a seller from India is copying and listing jewelry from US sellers to include their titles AND photos and then adding this disclaimer below (Mainly diamond gold rings) and then they are shipping fake gold jewelry ...if they ship it at all! HOW does this #$%@%$@ happen and they are not removed! Nor is the fraudulent listing with my photos despite me reporting it three times and calling CS!

Welcome....!!!

The things you care about are the things you get done...ebay cares about making money.

Basically eBay doesn't care if another seller uses your photos or description.  You agree by listing on eBay that they can use your photos any way they want.

Most of us that take a lot of time and effort into creating a nice listing resent it. eBay could care less how we feel about it.

Yes, this is a common sceme that I am seeing more and more as I do my fine jewelry searches.

I see items I know I have seen before and sure enough a scammer has copied the photos of the listing.

But what he is actually selling you is a cheap, look alike item made with glass stones and plated jewelry.

I do the same as that ebayer did for you.  I report it to the rightful owner of the listing as he is the only one that has any ability to act.

Call ebay and speak to someone in fraud.  Hopefully they can help you.

And one could see in advance that ebay allowing others to copy photo and text would not end well.

This isn't a "feeling" or an emotion! The seller is point blank creating listings with many other sellers jewelry items showing as their photos when in fact these are not the items they/he/she are selling! The ring in my hand is not the ring he is selling! The potential buyer emailed me wondering if MY item was real gold or FAKE like the other sellers because we both had the same photo!

The problem is ...MY LISTING is legit...the other is NOT it is a fraudulent and misleading listing in complete and total violation! Obviously a concern to a buyer as it was a buyer that alerted me!

This is disturbing.

I saw a listing once for a particular doll.  The pictures were ones the seller took herself, her description was extremely specific to this doll, seller, and location.

I found the exact same listing from an overseas seller, and knew that they could not have the doll but had copied the whole listing.

I reported the item and called.  It was removed almost immediately.

However, this happened MANY years ago.

OP, think about it.  This isn't getting done for you.

Nawlins is saying you get the things done that you care about.

So...

I understand. I really do.  eBay claims they are all about the "buyer experience" but this situation will give the buyer anything but the warm fuzzies when they get a cheap piece of junk.

it used to be other sellers would link to my photos and it was lots of fun to change my picture to a new name and then replace the one they linked to of one of a very dirty kitty litter box.

I have a large garden and greenhouse. I buy a lot of seeds. I can name several dozen sellers that sell fakes. Search milk melons, total fake. What picture you see is some art that was created and hanging in a restaurant. Fake roses, fake vegetables, i spent a lot of time reporting them, eBay did nothing.

OP copyright your photos.  I believe ebay reversed their decision when they banned it.

It may not stop them, but it slows them down or because it takes work cropping it out, they move on to someone else.
