eBay has absolutely no protection for sellers and they will try to milk you dry.
I’m just a guy trying to sell my stuff to make more money during COVID. But a scammed took advantage of eBay’s horribly flawed system.
i opened a “case” and provided much correspondence that supports my claim, but within TWO MINUTES they close the case in the fraud buyer’s favor. How did you review all of my provided documents is only TWO minutes eBay? You can’t. You didn’t.
The scam buyer still has my item and my money. eBay has deducted hundreds from my PayPal as part of a fraud laptop return, then they have the audacity to attempt to charge me for “seller return fees” as part of a return which never happened.
All the while they avoid or don’t have any human customer support. I’ve been trying to get a hold of eBay for weeks to no avail. The app portal And help center is worthless.
Dispicable. Shame on you ebay.
Where is my money eBay? Where is my item?

I won the case. I gathered evidence from PayPal. Order history and more. I opened a case. I Tracked the scammer down and got the police involved. Scammer took the loss over possible conviction.
You’re response is weak. Don’t roll over to evil and scammers. Stand up for justice. 30 day money back guarantee doesn’t apply if the law was broken.
Be brave. Fight for what is right.

@albany_sellers wrote:You would think that eBay would just completely do away with being able to contest a return. I don't understand why they even bother letting you dispute a case when they auto rule against you EVERY TIME. All that option does is tricks sellers into thinking there is going to be some sort of case review when nothing is even looked at by a human being.
It serves only to cost us money and our items when someone does not know better.
Yup, same goes for the appeals process, just another ridiculous placebo that does nothing but find in the buyer's favor again. It's like eaby is saying "well, here it is again since clearly you misunderstood what we were saying all along" and certainly sellers not listening can be problematic but the real problem is that it sets false hope.
Just let me have the bad news upfront, sure it will hurt but the present process isn't any better in my opinion.

@corvettestainless wrote:There is no 'proof' you could have presented. Buyers have a 30 day MBG. They open a case, you must answer the return case (either clicking 'provide return label if a 'Not Working' 'Not as Described' type return).. and once tracking shows it returned, you have to refund, or ebay will do it for you. If you do not answer the first request, ebay will refund and have the customer 'keep' item.
Interesting that this person is purporting to be an
adviser and expert of eBay but doesn't have any eBay feedback or sales experience. A problem that is getting worse by the month on eBay one after another people coming on here and defending an indefensible position for eBay's benefit
I would have thought that since you have been a member since 2011 you would surely have heard of Posting id's, guess not
Using your "logic" actually I am member since 1995 and now have four ebay accounts, LOL. Sure everyone has a half dozen accounts
Where is it written that these so called ebay users on this forum are not ebay employees? Interns? Volunteers? Show me where that is stated?
I saw a person on here the other day admitting he worked at ebay. Or was I having a nightmare, it's hard to tell doing business on freeBay.
And like most eBay employees they lie, deflect, distract, insult, belittle, anything that they can to try to chase off the truth. But I understand. The work for an ongoing illegitimate enterprise. They got roped in and now it is hard to leave.

You will know when it is an eBay employee as they will have eBay next to the name and show name@eBay -
really simple.
.
The rest are volunteers, but I think you know that well enough.
