I thought we were done with the scrolling description block. It was a bad idea when it was first tried and it's still a bad idea! But apparently it's back again! First of all the block area is too small. Secondly scrolling in that space is just ridiculous. Thirdly... People barely read the full descriptions as it is, do we really need to make it twice as hard for them to read our full description?
Either give us 500 character titles or bring back the full description display box! Why does the full description have to be buried in a sea of "Similar items?" Isn't the whole point of the listing page TO GET MORE INFO ABOUT THE ITEM?? What sense does it make to hide that information ON THE ITEM PAGE??

As eBay tests things across different accounts, most people will not see what you're seeing. Posting a screenshot would help.
If it's not working for you, click the ? on the bottom right of the page then select the "send feedback" link. Be constructive, don't just rant. Be specific about the window being too short or whatever.

Don't tell me not to "rant."

Uh ... I thought I was specific about don't rant in your report to eBay if you want them to take your feedback seriously.
Rant all you want here.
Hell, rant all you want in your report to eBay, but unless it's constructive it'll probably fall on deaf ears.

Don't tell people not to tell you not to rant.
(We could do this all day)

What's really funny is I'm a strong supporter of free speech. There's a time and place to rant, though. For example, this forum is a good place to rant, but the "send feedback" link going to product developers that you presumably want to take you seriously isn't a great outlet for that.
My "don't rant" comment was intended to help people make sure their feedback submission is taken seriously by eBay and not dismissed. This is a business and the space to fill out comments on that form is finite. Use it wisely.
🤷

I agree...the description is too far down, and on the mobile version it is just a link you have to click to get to the description. The first time I used the mobile version I couldn't find the description. It would make a buyers experience so much better if it was directly under the listing instead of way under a bunch of garbage.
Yes, I have given my 2 cents to ebay a dozen times.

There's a whole bunch of things I can't do on my computer anymore and scrolling is one of them. It's easier to just list what I can still do and that's not much (ship, and visit this community). It seems to be my browsers, which are really old in tech age.
Have you tried different browsers? If it isn't your browser definitely give your feedback to ebay. Maybe if enough of us complain, they will do something. (I'm an optimist, what can I say?)

I thought any scroll function in a listing was simply html format, which you are still allowed to do and always have been

I totally understand, so would just about anybody reading that reply, maybe even the OP.
That said, I bet we all have a certain "trigger" LOL. For me it's being told to be patient, especially if I was just asking about the nuts n' bolts of a process, to know what to expect. The implication is that even merely asking questions is being IMpatient. And I can't be the only one, for instance I bet a lot of INR's get filed by buyers who were told to be patient by sellers, when they (the buyers) wrote to ask about their late package. Even if was "Please be patient."
Since "ranting" is a subjective term, although there should be an obvious distinction between forum posts and requests/suggestions to eBay, I might have said something like "Keep it short and unemotional" (well, for Movieman anyway, because of the "man" part; tell a woman not to be emotional and you better be wearing full body armor 🤣).

If you want to get into specific wording, I never said don't rant. What I said was don't just rant.
Meaning if you're gonna throw some rant in there, at least have something constructive to go with it.
FTR, I did not think the OP was a rant. In fact, I'm one of the posters that's supported the OP with some of the problems they faced here when others weren't so nice. I hope they remember that and realize my post above was written to support them, not dismiss them.
Either way, I know my intentions were good and I can't intuit somebody else's "trigger words." Have a good weekend, all.

Hey...now I don't like to be told I can't rant when I want to rant, and it's a really good rant for me to rant about when I want to rant about something I'll rant about it, and I don't want to read ranting about my rants or ranting about whether to rant or not to rant or what degree of ranting that I use for my rants DON'T MAKE ME GO ALL CAPS LOCK ON YOU!
