I have a mohair tam o'shanter and matching scarf made in Scotland..
I want to list Scotland as country of origin but it is not to found on drop down menu.
What kind of c**p is that? Who has never heard of Scotland? Brunei Darussalama is an option but not Scotland?

Free Scotland from the British invaders!
A few years ago Scotland was given the choice to be an independent nation. They voted and chose to remain a part of the UK instead. So much for them wanting to be freed of the "British invaders". Lots of freebies and seasonal welfare, etc. Visiting Scotland is on my wife's and my bucket list, after being addicted to the Outlander series the last 10 years.
Simply put, whether it is Northern Ireland (Ulster), Scotland, Wales, Monmouthshire, or England itself, just send your goods to the UK... it's been simplified, and also includes the Orkneys, the Hebrides, and the Isle of Man. Jersey and Guernsey are separate destinations one can ship to, according to eBay.
Cheers, Duffy

LUFF-burruh, LESTER-sher. We'll give you half credit for that. 😁
(LOL) I tried. Y'all change pronounciations over time, but the spellings never keep up.

It's still stupid though, because Scotland, England and Wales are entirely different cultures etc. and should still be listed as separate entities on here imho.

I think, though, that it's all about the shipping, and how you get stuff sent to your buyer. Scotland, England and Wales all share basically the same postal system, especially in terms of the Post Code that can be as specific as just a house or two on one side of the street. So, for example, if your buyer's Post Code starts with "EH" and he's somewhere in the United Kingdom, that's most likely going to be Edinburgh in Scotland.
That's not too different from us here in the U.S., where you can send domestic mail all the way to Puerto Rico or the Virgin Islands, but it's still a system of ZIP Codes and 2-letter abbreviations for State, Province or whatever.

Yeah, use UK for shipping, but for country of origin I still say it's stupid.

England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland comprise the United Kingdom.

Bluidy Sassenachs.
Free Scotland from the British invaders!
Well actually, we conquered them when James VI of Scotland took the throne becoming James I of England.

...whose biggest claim to fame seems to be the invention, or maybe inspiration (*cough*), for Guy Fawkes Day.
I'd never heard the term "Sassenach" until I heard Tony "Hancock's Half-Hour" radio episode "The Last of the McHancocks." 😆

There so many things that eBay fails to acknowledge that exist. One like how to do organic sales, completely is not in their wheelhouse.
