Anyone else having problems with buyers,  specifically by trying to get you to contact them outside of eBay through email or text? And then not following through with the purchase. Someone tried to get me to buy an Apple Card and put in the package, saying they would pay extra. eBay is full of scammers lately!!! So hard to get help from eBay to resolve these issues.

Widely reported. Dozens of posts in here. You're late to the party.

Yes, these are scammers.

Scammers target new seller or people selling "high value" items.   There are many different types of scams going around so you have to be very careful.

Tell us you did not respond to the offer. It sounds like you did from you saying they did not follow through with the purchase. Never, ever, ever respond to a message. Just hit delete and move on with you life.

It's who you are (new) and what you are selling. A perfect recipe for this type of activity.

Simply put all listings as 'buy it now' with 'immediate payment required' and 'no offers' or simply ignore all offers.

Scammers are nothing new but do seem to have increased. Set up your blocking to help weed some out and block and report anyone who tries to get you to add extra stuff, contact outside ebay, etc.  Do not respond to them. That just encourages them.

No, did not. But I had 3 offers, sent invoices, they never paid so I didn’t send anything. But now my items are marked as sold, too late to cancel the order and I’m having a terrible time reaching eBay. They need to make it easier to contact them with issues, especially trying to report these issues.

I'm not sure where you are with the timing, but if you don't have it automated, after 4 days you can file UPI on those orders, the order will be canceled, the buyer gets a strike and you get your fees back and can relist.  If you haven't, you can set up automation on this.  The buyer getting a strike is important because many sellers have their preference set up to block anyone with two or more strikes in a rolling 12-month period.

I'm pretty sure almost every seller who's sold one thing on eBay has dealt with these scammers. It's not uncommon. You're not alone.
