Scammers

I'm new to selling in ebay and the only buyers that I have gotten were all scammers. Is there a way to start getting real buyers?

No this is Ebay just roll the dice Ebay management has ruined this and encouraged dishonest buyers to flock here. Good Luck

I don't know anything about your category, but maybe you are getting some jokester bidding with your zero feedback?

I also notice many lots are untested - could that make the winner rethink the purchase?

Depends on what you means by "scammers".   If you are just talking about customer who "bid on item and don't pay" (who can add them to your blocked bidder list).

No advise... just empathy. I'd not want to be a new seller on eBay now for anything. Good luck to you, though.

List as a fixed price with immediate payment required.

Gaming items do get unwanted attention from the undesirable element. But at your price points, i don’t think you would be an attractive target. What kind of scammers are you getting?

Scammers love new sellers.  Try to buy things on ebay with this account so you can stablish some feedback.  Get rid of auctions and best offers.  As you will only attract non payers, and scammers.

Not really.

Depends on what you are selling and if your feedback is low enough that someone thinks they can easily roll you.
