Scammers everywhere, what to do

Scams are everywhere here on ebay I just shipped a pair of clear crystal glasses and buyer opened a return saying she was sent cobalt blue glasses. I immediately report to ebay and filed a mail fraud case with the post office copied it and sent it to the buyer along that I have contacted her local police also, next thing I get a message saying that the glasses were OK that she had not unpacked them when she wrote me, REALLY.  Will ebay remove her heck no but she is blocked my me. All I can say you got to jump on it quick this is the 2nd one in 2 weeks and it worked both times. Maybe I just got lucky but be careful you don't get much backup from ebay.

It's sad but, eBay has become know the world over as a place you can get stuff for free.  All you can do is avoid selling high value items.  Used flea-market items are more work for a scammer to flip for cash so many will move on to another seller.  They used to avoid high feedback sellers thinking they would know what to do but eBay lets them get away with it so much now they go after all sellers.

   Many thanks for calling her bluff and being so proactive in pushing against this current epidemic of scams... I'll remember how you handled it, for even though I'm not a real target for scammers looking for brand new or low or 0 feedback sellers, I still get a couple attempts each year from even bolder scammers .

   Please update this post in the future, if you discover that the scammer was NARU'd (suspended). We'll then see if Ebay has any teeth in doing the obvious right thing, or wimp away.

Yes, scammers abound.  You have to be at the ready as they seem to be working every imaginable angle.  Just nutz.
