First time posting. I wanted to share a positive experience I had this week with ebay for a fraudulent NAD case.
Buyer purchased a brand new, factory-sealed DVD box set (collectible, more than $200). Eight days after receipt buyer filed a NAD, stating the DVD case was broken, sent photo showing loose plastic piece from hinge. Accepted return, and then asked a lot of questions (describe damage as it wasn't clear, was box damaged?, asked buyer to send photos of item and packaging, did you handle disks?), sent label. Buyer sent photos, and returned item.
Buyer returned a used and dented boxed set with multiple scratches on every single disk, pamphlets had water damage and pages were stuck together, box had a handwritten number on the outside of the box. I called ebay with this information, quite upset, and they immediately resolved the case in my favor ($0 refund to buyer), and closed the case. After careful examination of box I saw other evidence that the box set they returned was purchased from a thrift store, the 16 was the price and there were remnants of tape across the opening to hold the two inner cases in place. Buyer of course still has the item he purchased, so I filed a police report to hold him accountable for his fraud. I also reported the buyer on ebay for violating ebay's policies.

Nice @tn59_28 ...guess these discussions are being closely read by certain buyers with similar intentions. Even with a good outcome, it was unpleasant and a time waster. What happened to honesty? Wish more people would post fraudulent NADs with the the correct outcomes, or are they that rare?
