Scam?

I have an individual who is trying to say they paid me for an item that I sold quite a few months ago to someone who came to my house and picked the item up. I took this item down and now I it is back up. The only money I received from the sale of this item was paid to me in cash from the individual who came and picked it. I never received any money online from anyone for any item sold on ebay.

Re: Scam?

Well they can't ask for any money back which they never paid for through Ebay so you are cleared on that. Two way you can approach this. Either tell this person to view there "Purchase History" and they will see the item was never purchased by them. Now another way to deal with this is to block the person and be done with them.

B&BD.....block and be done with it.

Btw, how did you sell it, have it picked up, take the item down and now you have relisted it again?  Was the item taken down because it sold or you removed it?

Re: Scam?

You really should brush up on how selling on ebay works.

Re: Scam?

If someone looks at an Ended Listing, eBay will redirect the buyer to an identical item currently for sale.

I am getting off topic here. You can click on the See Original Listing button.

The eBay member contacting you is actually trying to contact another seller.

Ask them to go to their Purchase History and confirm that your seller ID is not there and therefore you never sold them anything.

Go to your Active Listings and end the duplicate listing so that someone else does not buy something you no longer have.

Don't even bother with any of that. Just block them and go on with your life.
