I just had a sale. I don't think Ebay took out the sales tax from me on the sale. I sold to NJ. My balance shows only fvf deducted. I thought ebay took the sales tax from the sale and I get the rest minus the fvf.

The buyer may be tax exempt and have a state reseller permit.

Ebay charges the buyer for the Sales Tax it doesn't come out of your funds.

They don't take it from you. They add it to what the buyer paid. Your not involved in it's collection. Done for you by eBay.
