First of all, eBay has TV commercials? I think the last time I saw an eBay commercial was a few years ago. Second, that's pretty sad that you are counting the days til you leave eBay. eBay use to be a fun place to buy and sell but I guess it is super corporate now huh? Sorry it is so bad for you. Hopefully everyone gets strong sales for the end of the year. Best wishes and Happy Holidays. Remember it's not too late. List, sell, list, sell.

Excuse me??
No one has a higher " looter" rate than Billionaires evading taxes and the Federal Government.
Your contempt is misplaced.

It is the "job" of the rich to keep the little people fighting among themselves; keep us distracted while the super wealthy keep raking in the riches. Notice how they became so much richer during COVID? They could not have asked for a better distraction.

I open this account about a month ago, did everything to promote it and NO SALES.

Only 1 sale for me in last 14 days unbelievable!

My sales have finally picked up. Had 12 orders total from two buyers. One buyer has made several separate orders on one day which I combined into one package, and then made several other orders which I could also combined into one shipment two days in a row. The second buyer made two orders which I also combined into one shipment.
Hope this continues until all my NASCAR stuff is gone. Then I will concentrate on the railroad related material and then anything else I can find laying around the house.

@Anonymous Give it time - you've only been open a month with very few items in a very specific, narrow niche. Those are always long tail. Keep listing, even if you have to relist (with fresh listings) the same batch of stuff (with some changes).
Also, that's such a great avatar!

thank you for reply. Sorry you are in same boat. I am not into Marketplace, but makes no sense you sell there and zero on eBay. Illogical, no? Sometimes I think there is more to it than we know or will be told, even when they appear to be listing our items, we don't really know, despite the "watcher"statistics..I've never gone 4 months ever with no sales...it's bizarre. Wish you good sales wherever you make them.

I also use FB Marketplace and perfectly logical as to why items sell on FB and not on eBay especially if you are in larger metropolitan area. Most of what I sell on FB is local pickup or delivery, I can list at a lower price because my selling costs are considerably less, the buyer does not have to pay for shipping and neither of us has to worry about lost or damaged packages. Buyer can actually look at an inspect the item before they take possession and pay for it so few returns, although I have had a couple.
There are also few restricted or prohibited items on Facebook, nothing similar to the VERO program and I don't have to worry about funding holds. Buyers can pay in cash, PayPal, Venmo, Google pay, etc. (I used to just take cash and PayPal but buyers are expanding their choices so I had to open up other avenues.

The crazy fees combinated with lower purchasing power for the people are killing ebay! They hikes their fees in an economic downturn, they are real geniuses! People migrated to other platforms like etsy, fb marketplace! It's not sustainable for ebay to take 35% of your sales(sale fees+ other scammy fees+promoted to actually sell the items)! They will either lower the taxes, deregulate the marketplace (now they have more rules and standard than the Chinese credit score) or die! Simple as that!

This is not true! Collectibles sales are very good on other platforms! Ebay is losing buyers and sellers due to crazy high fees and scammy behaviour ( charging multiple fees)! This can bring the total fees for a low value item of 5$ at 50%! It is simple not sustainable so people migrated! A seller is also a buyer and so the story goes around! The only sellers left on the platform are the ones the are professional with big inventories! All the small private sellers with a 1000items store closed shop and moved

The biggest mistake I ever made was relying on one platform. EBay was great for a decade, so I got kinda comfortable thinking "it will be the same always". Well, that turned out to be untrue, and now I'm scrambling to list our products on other platforms too before we run out of time (savings).

We did that a long time ago. Seen the writing on the wall.....

I had last 3 months almost zero sales, all prices are below Poundland what the hell is going on here, free postage , offer are all available not a single hint, managed to sell one mac air , and the promotion and listing took 100£ off in total, now i cannot even change prices no matter what way I try, I just leave them hanging for another month then close account ,Ebay is not there anymore
