No sales for 4 days, very few views, what is going on with ebay, they allowed good sales when my monthly bill was due, then back to nothing, and we understand how sales come and go, but the views are concerning, looking at other options as ebay seems to control when and how we sell, sounds hard to believe, but beginning to wonder after watching for the last few quarters. Anybody else experiencing this?

Because my bill was so, like I had said.

You have sold items from May 30, 29, 28, 27, 26, 24, 23, 22, 21, 20, 19, 18, 17, 14, 13, 11, 10, 8, 6, 4, 3, 1.
You have sold items from April 30, 29, 28, 25, 24, 23, 21, 20, 19, 18, 13, 10, 7, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1.
When is your monthly bill due?
'What days of the month do they drop "back to nothing"?

same. as stated many times, when no sales happen it happens for many sellers, the same days, but sellers selling in totally different categories across the board. No Sales in 4 days either, as with several others I know.

It is upsetting not to have sales for some time, but do you really believe eBay controls sales in the way that you describe, not allowing buyers to purchase, then allowing them to do so when your bill is due?
actually yeah, because it happens every month any more, the past 3 anyways, no sales then when it's time for store fee sales magically happen. Sounds crazy i know, but it happens with many sellers lately, to many to be coincidence.

Stop relying on ebay for views and page impressions. Take the time to learn hotlink coding and add links to your ads that lead customers from one of your ads to another, instead of them leaving your ad to go look at someone else's.

that has nothing to do with no sales. Yeah, you can hotlink within ebay (not outside) - what good is that if people don't see the listings with the hotlinks to begin with? Also my listings are full of my own sponsored ads, because my listings are same category so I have a lot more in the pool of PL for category, those links wouldn't do any good, all they have to do is visit the store.

It's far more likely that one gets more sales around when bills are due because that is ALSO when most people get their paychecks.

Hi, love some of the responses we received after this post. We weren't making a statement or implying anything, we asked if anybody else was experiencing this(periods of no actions, views or sales), which brought some interesting responses, including conspiracy theories. Thanks for playing, and have a great week!

There’s not a site out there that doesn’t do the same things FYI. People are currently spending less on “stuff” more on eating out vacations and experiences. All sites are flooded w sellers. Way too many sellers these days. (20 years experience here selling online )

well I have almost 26 yrs selling online and I can tell you all that above is bull! People spend more time shopping online and in general purchase more online then ever before, with the introduction of cell phone hand held ability to do so at any place or moment they are has helped that progression. I know many who have their own websites in my industry and their sales are through the roof, reporting record sales for 3 years straight. Where is shopping down? Marketplaces like ebay and amazon - why? Because of the prices sellers have to charge on these platforms.
