Hi Guys ,
We are witnessing drastic slowdown in sales Compared to last 2 Months after view counter not working problem , its 50% drop in sales , is there any major changes from ebay or just normal summer slowdown ? There is Not Any Benefit from promoted listings too.
Thanks

Yep same here, contacted ebay but they said everything is fine. So I guess in the last 3 months people suddenly stopped collecting what I sell.![]()

Same here! I put my store on vacation at the end of June and returned around the 8th of July. It's been terrible since....I've had slow downs but this is the worse yet. I'm glad it's not just me, but angry that this is happening.

Morning,
Once being a mid size seller here< I shut my entire selling operation down just over 2 years ago.
When selling I spent the bulk of my purchases here.
I then proceeded to still buy here and after many waves of different experiences with difficult transactions with bad sellers I have pretty much directed my purchases elsewhere unless there is a promo that is too hard to pass up.
I am spending more money online than ever before for our family business but little is coming here.
I think if you multiply this by others doing the same it speaks volumes.

Ebay makes money off it. Actually my sales for July have been good. I took June off. I list very little anymore (after 20 years here) but as a small seller I show that sales is based on what you sell, not how many listings you have or if you pay extra for a store. I do love my weekend flea market but even there I see buyers are now trying to sell.

July has been an unusually erratic months for sales for me - no sales until after the 4th of July - than an uptick in sales until Amazon prime hit. The entire week of Amazon prime I had not one sale on all four accounts. Then things went back to normal July mode this week.
Despite that - I doubt that ebay had anything to do with the unusual sales pattern.
Good to see you, Mr. C - hope you and Mrs. C are doing well!

Morning Kathie,
We are doing better than what we thought lately.
Was able to get out to the property on Monday with a crew of 4 of us for a final site prep for both the cabin and the shop.
Post hole digger for the tractor is coming on Friday...YEH! Need this for the holes we need to drill for the post and beam structures.

Not that this is necessarily a significant indicator (surveys and statistics?), but I thought it rather interesting and, perhaps an insight ....
"PHILADELPHIA (Reuters) - By almost every measure, the U.S. economy is booming. But a look behind the headlines of roaring job growth and consumer spending reveals how the boom continues in large part by the poorer half of Americans fleecing their savings and piling up debt.
A Reuters analysis of U.S. household data shows that the bottom 60 percent of income-earners have accounted for most of the rise in spending over the past two years even as the their finances worsened - a break with a decades-old trend where the top 40 percent had primarily fueled consumption growth.
With borrowing costs on the rise, inflation picking up and the effects of President Donald Trump’s tax cuts set to wear off, a negative shock - a further rise in gasoline prices or a jump in the cost of goods due to tariffs - could push those most vulnerable over the edge, some economists warn.
That in turn could threaten the second-longest U.S. expansion given consumption makes up 70 percent of the U.S. economy’s output. ...." (much longer article and an interesting read)

First, the view counter would not affect sales ... that is just a seller hub issue, and if you were to click on the traffic link in seller hub, you would see that the counters were properly displayed for items.
Second, sales for many items during the summer are slow, but it depends on your category. There's a cool tool at Seller Hub >> Growth >> Sourcing Guidance where you can click on the product that you are selling and see the yearly sales level trend for that product ... perhaps what you sell dips during the summer.
Third, we set a sales record in June here on eBay, and July sales are slightly above average and well above 2017's numbers.

Only a 50% drop in sales? That's really good!!!
