Goodness, nothing. Sales, promos, coupons, refreshes and nothing. Something is going on.
maybe I’ll short eBay stock.
anyone else experiencing slow sales?

You currently have 1,300 active listings in a highly competitive category and yet you have sold 357 items in the last 90 days which doesn't really seem all that "slow" to me. What are your expectations and what is your goal volume or higher profits?

Yes, as expected, especially during an election season and a jittery economy, not to mention a devastating natural disaster. Be thankful your sales are "slow", instead of "stopped".

What do you think is going on?

You have great listings, but I know myself that right now I'm pretty constantly inundated with emails from sportswear companies for blow-out sales (I tend to buy a fair amount of workout gear, if I can afford it), clear outs, etc. Not to mention a good portion of the country which would not be going into the winter cold season and thus a ready market has been struggling under horrible storms.
Plus places like Poshmark have loads of it. I think there's just a lot of competition right now.
BTW, I know you sell lots more than I do, but as a buyer as well as a seller, I strongly suggest you not put the size of the item at the very last of your title - no one can see it on the search return page and it's a pain to have to click into each listing to see if it's the right size - it needs to be front loaded in your titles. Make things easy so someone (like myself) will click right in.

Just one thing that is affecting your sales. Summer wear is on clearance racks at most retail sales at down and dirty prices - your prices don't reflect that. You seem to have a lot of shorts, sandals, tank tops, etc.
Sales activity of most any thing is like the movement of a Yo-Yo - lots of ups and downs and walking the dog movements. In other words some days you are a diamond other days just a chunk of coal. Always save for rainy days. Was in sales for 41 years. If your sales are slowing - time to get creative
BTW have you noticed the $$ of just plain ole hamburger meat or what it costs to get kids off to another year of college.
Be thankful what sales you have.
Hint: sell stuff in Rio de Janeiro where it will June in January soon - just funning. Once sold a pair of open toes sandals to a person in Alaska in January. Had to ask why you buy?. They replied they were going to Rio D J.

Yes, dreadfully slow. Like big time, major shutoff over the last week/10 days (not to mention the overall slowdown over the last year. The past 10 days have been abysmal for me. I called in multiple times, and of course got the normal scripted responses with absolutely no resolution. I am so tired of this. We need answers from eBay - what are they doing with these 'updates' that keeps destroying our sales.

You're not alone! I was wondering if it was just me too. Something is definitely off. It hasn't been this slow since July.

I called too and asked if there was something going on. They claimed everything was normal. This is getting tiresome.

The fact that sellers call ebay when their sales are slow just blows my mind.

Why? Don't you sometimes wonder if they're having technical issues you might like to be aware of? When something in your gut tells you something isn't right don't you want to see if that's true?

Fair enough.
If the cause is a technical issue, what will calling do?
You could call 10 times a day, every day, and they will NEVER say "Sorry Mr. Doe, your sales are slow because of this technical issue or that technical issue.
Have you EVER received that response?
If so, then I stand corrected.
Calling will make you AWARE of a problem ... but still will not fix the problem.

You will always get sellers who believe there is a technical issue or something Ebay is doing to cause lack of sales instead of the obvious which is lack of interest at this particular time from buyers.

Really don't think sale are slow at all, I did see a big reduction in traffic when the war in Middle East expanded but that has seemed to be recovering, the economy is great so that's not an issue at all.
Unemployment is still hovering record lows, stock market setting record highs, my IRA has never been this good, every business in my city has help wanted signs. Ebay claims my sales are up 2024 over 2023 78.6% Up vs. prior time period
