Have you guys also experienced a slight decrease in sales for August? I only got around 60% of my normal months revenue in August and was wondering why

I had a slight increase, mostly DVD;s from my brother's house which I am clearing out.
Decided on a 2 week time out to focus on that project. I have taken four loads of clothes, and other items to a thrift store, goodwill and to purple heart. Have a fifth load which gets delivered tomorrow afternoon. Have a ten yard capacity dumpster almost half filled, and I have two bedrooms, and the lower level to go.
When I am done this mess, I am going to get caught up on my listings and see if things improve afterwards.
August has been the best month since around March.
Hope everyone else is doing better selling.

There is no normal on eBay. They have a need to make adjustments, DAILY, that has negative effects for millions of users.

Revenue is one metric volume is another. It looks like you sold about 46 items in August about twice what you sold in July, what is your normal monthly average? It could be you are selling at the same volume just lower priced items which is the trend I noticed in August.

I'm down a little but with all the glitches to sending offers I expect it to be.

Decrease from last August, or decrease from last month? Plenty of markets have changes month to month, including our book market, so that's a different way of looking at it if so.
We had an 11.9% increase in August over July, which is fairly standard with back to school, but a 109.4% increase year over year for August, which is amazing! So yeah, I don't think it's a universal thing.

Maybe game players are getting their accounts shut down for buying and selling digital game items they don't own or have the rights to buy or sell.

I am seeing (within musical instrument retailers) that many are seeing an increase in sales but with lower margins. Items that have sold for $x.xx are selling for 20% less than the year before. (rough average)
Right now it's a buyer's market for musical instruments.

It's a buyer's market in general on most everything, & they are holding out because they know it!, but that is only hurting sellers more & more, Because then sellers keep lowering their price just to make a sale, Yet the cost for them to make that sale keeps rising, & before you know it, that reaches a breaking point for the seller.

Things will turn around, and eventually, sales will be plentiful again. IMHO
Yes, many sellers are dropping their pants on their inventory and will not be able to replenish once the market picks back up. I am lucky since I can hold the line (price) and have the luxury to wait out any sales slumps.
I am preparing for the next boom by selectively buying inventory for tomorrow.

I have, but it has nothing to do with ebay. My sales are 1/8 of what they were in April, which was the last time we had a busy month. It's just been a very weird, off, Summer for me because of demolition, construction and moving around here.
Here's hoping your sales improve!
