Now I know I’ve only been selling for a month but the first 2 1/2 to 3 weeks I couldn’t list a knife or just about anything else without selling it, now for about a week and half I’m lucky if I sell something every two or three days. I know my store is small but come on what I’m I doing wrong? I have to sell a lot of what I have to get more because I’m just starting out.

April tends to be slow , in my opinion, due to tax season. Many people may have to pay out. Also the weather is getting nicer in most states, so spring fever may lead people to the B&M stores (malls, outlets, etc). You are selling items that are in a busy category too. Lots of knives for sale on ebay. Maybe you could do some price comparisons to stay competitive. Hopefully it will pick up for all of us soon. Hang in there. Nice shop!

I do not know if this applies in your case, because I know little about knives, but something to consider: Often when someone starts selling off a big collection, initial sales are hot because the best / scarcest / most collectible items are fresh to the market and sell right off the bat. Then sales cool noticeably because the remaining stock has fewer unusual / desirable items, and sales are settling into a steady but slower pattern.

I could see that but everything I sold with the exception of one were new from the distributor

Well, so much for that theory! 😄
Whatever the reason for the slower sales, I hope they soon pick up again.
