Sales down 50% since GTC Change...NICE!!!

Well its official...Since the wonderful GTC change was released?  My sales are now down by 50%...Thank you eBay!!!  And I do not want to hear:

1) It's the time of year, NOT the GTC change

BULL **bleep**   !! Ok...I am selling high ticket EXTREMELY popular items, iphones have (or at least they HAD) an 85% sell through rate on eBay..It doesnt matter what time of year it is, they SELL CONSISTENTLY and QUICKLY...But NOT anymore!!!  I did over 20,000 in sales in JANUARY THIS YEAR..

JANUARY WHICH IS THE WORST TIME OF YEAR..FEBRUARY WAS NOT TOO FAR OFF FROM THAT, BUT I BOUGHT LESS AND HAD LESS INVENTORY TO SELL, BUT IT ALL SOLD...March??? Sales RIGHT IN THE TOILET, THE LOWEST MONTH I HAVE HAD SINCE I STARTED DOING THIS..AND APRIL AINT LOOKING ANY BETTER ALREADY..So please save the ITS THE TIME OF YEAR **bleep**..

2) You havent given it enough time yet

I dont need to give this anymore "time" to see the OBVIOUS destructive impact this is having to MY business...

When someone cuts off your arm?  Do you "keep giving it time" to make sure you're going to BLEED TO DEATH AND DIE??  Or do you immediately try to rectify the problem and run to the hospital??  Just as I would know that having my arm cut off would prove to be fatal??  I KNEW this was GTC IDIOCY was going to be fatal as well...And sales down 50%?? IS DEFINITE PROOF right now that I was right..

I am bleeding to DEATH, and eventually?  I will be dead as a business...DEAD

3) But you'll be getting more google traffic, and therefore more sales

Really??  Ok..So wheres all the google traffic??  Where are all my newly realized GOOGLE DRIVEN SALES???  Cause I dont SEE ANY..I dont see ANYTHING BUT SALES DOWN 50%!!!  Thats all I SEE...Would someone like to SHOW ME ALL THE SALES I AM GETTING FROM "GOOGLE" AND ALL THIS IMAGINARY MONEY I'm supposed to making?  Because let me tell you something = I WAS MAKING MONEY BEFORE!!!  NOW IM NOT...Do I need more proof here that this is NOT WORKING???

4) The GTC change makes things more convenient for you..Because now you never have to re-list, and your listings will gain valuable watchers and a sales history, which will help you make more sales..

Hmmmmmmmmm...Actually NO THATS NOT CORRECT...I sell ONE OFF ITEMS..Everything is ONE OFF, and I have NO repeat inventory or MULTIPLES of items...So what does this mean for me?  Well, I still HAVE TO RELIST, BECAUSE I LIST EVERY ITEM INDIVIDUALLY ANYWAY!!  MY lisitngs also are GONE AND DOWN when they sell, because there was only ONE in the FIRST PLACE..So NO I dont get any sales HISTORY..And guess what?  I DONT WANT WATCHERS!! I WANT BUYERS!!!  Watchers do NOTHING FOR ME UNTIL THEY BUY...THE SHORT TIME FRAMES GOT THEM TO BUY.   GTC?? Gets them to WATCH.

5) Well this is how it is now..You'll just have to adapt to this new change and make the best of it.  It's great for some sellers.

Yeah, well when someone puts my balls in a vice, and makes decisions that effectively put me out of business???  My solution is not to ADAPT..My solution is to A) Get my balls out of that vice by any means necessary and B) Go someplace where I can actually make money again...If I was selling in a Mall where I was renting a Kiosk for $1000 a month?? (which is about what I pay to eBay or more) And that mall took AWAY my best selling tool to MAKE SALES I HAD??  Guess what??  IM OUT OF THERE..IM NOT GOING TO ADAPT..

And as far as this being "great for SOME sellers" and not effecting them?  Yeah, I'd assume those were the sellers that GTC WAS ALREADY WORKING FOR.  They ALREADY HAD AN OPTION THAT WAS WORKING FOR THEM..WHAT THE HE LL SENSE DOES IT MAKE TO TAKE AWAY MY OPTION THAT WAS WORKING WONDERS FOR ME?????????????  IF SOMETHING IS "NOT" GREAT FOR ALL SELLERS??  YOU DONT FORCE EVERYONE TO DO IT!!

6) eBay wouldnt make decision like this to hurt your sales..They make money when you make money.  They know what they are doing, dont worry..

Hmmmm yeah logically I would think that, but SADLY??  Thats not the CASE HERE..eBay has made the decision here (whether intentionally or NOT), to do something that HAS CUT MY SALES IN HALF!!!  So now, they are effectively making HALF THE MONEY TOO..So do I now follow along with MORON LUNATICS who would do something this bizarre and ridiculous to BOTH OF US?  Or do I finally see and understand that these people just have ABSOLUTELY no idea what they are doing, and do I get off this sinking SHIP finally, once and for all...

I think this is seriously it for me on here...I can't really find anymore reasons to stay...This website is now completely **bleep**, and these idiots arent going to correct this..

Even if this change costs them BILLIONS?  My prediction would be that they wont budge on this, just to save FACE they won't fix it...Staying here is like watching a train wreck..Happening right on your front lawn and the train is also effectively running you over as well as it happens and as you watch...

I was up 20% in my EBAY store in 2018 from 2017 and at this rate I’ll be down 60% in 2019 from 2018!  The new GTC is going to wipe out my business!  

Heres what ebay doesn’t understand:   You ever hear the saying ‘ Paul sells to Peter and Peter sells to Patrick and Patrick sells to Paul.  Most of ebays sellers are also ebays buyers!  I’m down 60% 3 months in a row or since March 20th.  Since the GTC went into effect over 80% of my sales are now from buyers with less then 25 feedback and 20% over 500 feedback!   It use to be the other way where 80% buyers had over 500 feedback and 20% were under 25 feedback!  It’s very upsetting and makes no sense on WHY there forcing this new policy!  Who cares how long a seller wants to list an item,  there should be zero limits!!!  A seller wants to list a 3 day auction, let them,  don’t charge them more money to do so!  EBAY rakes 10% off of every sale which is like 50 sales a second,  the profits are ridiculous,  I just don’t understand why EBAY would make such drastic changes?!?!

Does EBAY really want to be known only as cheap stuff from China?  I don’t get how that compares to Amazon,  does Amazon sell just Cheap stuff from China too?

Yes, so May sales were 39.5% of what April sales were. GTC is killing me as well. I had several items promoted. When I checked on them at the end of May, they were far down the listing page with many non-promoted items above them. I ended all my promotions. 

Yes, the search tools are messed up. They might work one moment, but not the next. The search in sold items has never worked correctly and seems to be worse. It shows things that haven't sold as sold even if you un-check completed.  Very little confidence in results returned. I use sales on items to estimate how much I can pay for a like item.  With lack of income, I've had to stop shopping for replacement inventory.

At least my sales on another site are picking up slightly, but not enough to make up the difference yet. 

Ebay, please hear the voices: You are killing your sellers and shooting yourself in the foot while your at it.

They are all Valid & Correct statements seen by thousands (should be more) & truly defining (only) some of the Dark Parts of this E - GREED Machine!   (they have killed my business as well ($300 - $900) a month  &  now ( ? ) maybe more than 0 sales ? Maybe !?!?!   I don't even have the Want to list any more items here.

What's worse than  Wasting all Our Time  & Playing with all Our Money? :  Doing it & ending up with little 2 nothing to show for Our hard work. 

We keep feeding this Machine  but  We are the ones starting 2 go Hungry!

Seriously 😨 You Sell ( 1 ) Product at Inflated Prices and It's All Ebays Fault ?? You take Not a Single Bit of Responsibility for Your Current Downturn ?? And Your Investment in those GI Toys I Would Not Consider Much of a Investment !! My Opinion !! A Small Investment at Best 😨😨 They are Not Originals and Far From Originals and I Can Find Them at Any of the Toy Auctions/Flea Markets in My Area at Any Time !! They Are Not Rare and They are For a Very Limited amount of Buyers !! Try Expanding and Adding a Few Different Toys/Items and You May Have a Little more Success !! What I don't see in the people's post that support the GTC change are the numbers of new constant sellers that's being created that can hurt your sales.

I help a few people in our local area that don't want to become constant sellers but have quite a few items. I put them on the 30 day and I go away.
If they didn't call me to help them ship the items, sometimes they don't call at all, sometimes they call back after the 30 to tweak or relist because they don't know how. 

They WON'T call just to have me come cancel, the whole point was they didn't know how to do it. How many people who just don't mind letting listings renew (the freebies per month) and will just let them sit? Hundreds? Thousands? If it is just 10 items that's a lot of junk piling up.

NO CASH FLOW ANY LONGER TO GO AND BUY NEW ITEMS?   Sure you do.  eBay's business partner is giving out loans so you can have cash flow.  Your slow sales may just be intentional so you'll be forced to take that high interest loan.

I believe nothing is the sellers hub is accurate. I do believe somehow it's related to our mutual downfall. There's a lot more as well but I don't think anyone knows what or where it is. I do believe it's going to get much worse and when it deteriorates further, I'll be gone.

Maybe You should READ the OPs whole thing  &  perhaps you may understand better what  90+%  here are trying 2 get (Not You) (Because obviously You don't get it ) 2 listen 2.  EBAY? are you listening?  I don't think these messages (from not just me) are getting through 2 the ones who need 2 hear it most. 

But thank you so much for chiming in. It's always Great 2 get a second opinion on these things. (I just forgot anyone asked you for the vitriol that comes along with it).   Changes are being made (Possibly outside our as Sellers comfort) Choices about how we run our own business are being taken away & Fees Upon Fess for everything they can imagine 2 come up with are being hoisted upon us all as well.  & all you got is   "I din't read it all".   Your answers are Great tho     It's  Us  not EBay.  Well I Hope you are correct.  But EBay looked awful Broken (World Wide Outage) last evening. & I didn't do a thing but watch all the people talk about how messed up EBay Is. Until they fixed it again?

Even if the OP did (Or) didn't make anything up.  it is  In your opinion " I may be Incorrect" but maybe your not feeling the things Most all of us on this Post are.   &  that's just wonderful .    But   I don't think anyones making anything up (In My Opinion)  when they finally get the courage to come on here & vent frustration with a Machine that's just not working for them.  Most of us search out 2 see if anyone else is having the same issues as we are having & come across (THOUSANDS) of unhappy Customers (Buyers & Sellers), all taking time 2 post all these made up stories about how all these issues are affecting them?   

Ok it's all made up then... does that make you feel better 2 feel correct?

Because it didn't help in this situation at all. No one magically got better sales because we're really all just making this up.  We're all still frustrated & you are still living in make believe land where everything is just being made up.
