Seems sales have ground to a halt - anybody else seeing same/different? Don't need comments on why (I think I know), just curious if others are seeing same...

I am good and I have zero auctions running so it is odd to be good....

The FED is poised to raise interest rates to try and slow the inflation but that is a delicate balancing act between slowing the inflation and not impacting economic growth. Inflation is the boogeyman when it comes to recoveries. If prices continue to climb, as they’re projected to, people may begin to pull back on spending, which could lead businesses to halt hiring.
There is in fact a labor shortage across a lot of areas at the moment as a lot of the baby boomer generation either have or are in the process of retiring. There are a number of books and articles on "The Graying of America" and the long term impacts that will have on the workforce and the economy.
Agree - the economy is resurging quickly enough to be in danger of overheating - inflation is a struggle all over the world right now because of economy bounce-back and supply chain issues. The US is only a little blip on that radar.
Though I'm hunting in the job market right now, and it's a frustrating exercise making me wonder how much of that labour shortage is more of a paycheck shortage. Also how much inflation is real, and how much is corporations reveling in wallet-busting profits while skrooing the rest of us by keeping the prices up.

I had ZERO bids for any of my auctions today. Something is broken.

Couple issues I see because I just did an experiment on the site and know what was working and what wasn't. Sales as you know can come and go but I can immediately see a few issues that can be easy fixes to help start re-generating sales.
1) You're not listing enough each day. Try to list dozens of items a day at least.
2) You don't have enough variety or listings to snag a customer
3) none of your items are on sale. This doesn't mean you have to reduce the current price but ebay's algorithm prefers things be on sale. Raise your prices and place on sale accordingly
My sales are significantly down. I reduced my listings to about 50 items after closing my store. Now i'm lucky if I get 10 page views. My research since it was an experiment told me all I need to know or knew but put it in practice and noticed the difference. Start with a good picture and then describe the item in the tile line. eliminate all words like the, and, etc. Even if it sounds like a caveman wrote it. no one reads descriptions so you needn't fill them out, just cut copy paste title there. Make sure the title is honest as well as the picture. Spending too much time on one ad is a waste of time when you could be listing 50 items instead. Do this daily. When the system catches up they will reward you. Answer all customer inquiries immediately, even if it's 3 a.m. ship all orders immediately. Ebay is like a female sparrow running around on the ground peck the male with her mouth open waiting for him to feed her. Feed the beast(ebay), often. Ebay is the plant in Little Shop of Horrors. Feed it listings though not humans.

hi there
alot of us on here sell quality products at fair prices. the issues is not the sellers, possible reason is lack of buyer, due to lack of advertising, or not paying google enough.

Sales activity has never been a steady level of activity or a continue increase but more like the movement of a yo-yo. There are a myraid of reasons - would think the two biggest reasons right now - is the increases in the cost of basic needs - like food heating and fuel. Secondly, April 18 is just around the corner - those that have to pay teh IRS wait 'til the last moment and have saved for a few months to pony up.
An other factor is what I term the hula hoop factor - the craze did not last for ever.

The wholesale elimination of vintage auto parts categories in EBAY motors has been the kiss of death for anyone trying to buy or sell parts for old cars. The sellers have left in droves and for those left, there is poor sales.

I'm sorry if the market collapsed because of Ukraine. But now there is a third world war going on where russian fascists are fighting with the whole world and Ukraine is fighting for the whole world with an army of russian murderers. That is why Ukraine and the Ukrainian people are not responsible for the collapse of the market, the culprits are those who are now wiping out the civilian population. This is not a conflict, this is WAR!!!
I want to express my gratitude to everyone who helps us or just thinks with us! Thank you!!!!

eBay tried to destroy the old car parts sales (and did an excellent job at it) many years ago when they started letting sellers say every single part they had fit every car ever made. Search for 1970 AMC Rebel Machine , & you get tens of thousands of hits, because every part listed "fits" that car. from tires to air fresheners & valve stem caps. That really chased buyers away.
I haven't seen any change in my old car part sales that I can attribute to the elimination of vintage categories, I use maybe three categories to list all my parts. Steering wheel, brake pedal, gauge cluster, all listed in emblems category. Doesn't seem to make a difference in my sales. Not to say the elimination of vintage hasn't hurt sellers, I'm sure it has.
eBay claims eBay Motors is booming, & that is where they are going to concentrate their growth efforts. eBay Motors has been sponsoring Nascar racing heavily this season. Running commercials during the races, sponsoring segments of the races. Wisely, eBay has chosen not to sponsor a car & driver.

"If you've got the right stuff for the right price, it'll still move." Wow! You knew the solution was so simple? I had better go get some gold & post it for 50% it's value. 😛

I will say that eBay's search is helping to kill sales. Item specifics haven't helped one bit.
My experience - I need a white shirt (blouse) for work. It must have a collar and 3/4 length sleeves.
I searched on eBay and gave up. I got blouses of every color in existence. I got short sleeve, long sleeve. I got very few with a collar and tons with a 'neckline'. All I wanted to see was a white shirt 3/4 length sleeve.
I gave up after trying to wade through so much of what I didn't want.
It was enough to send me to other sites.

search function in general is terrible. The mass elimination of categories last fall really hurt sales for things that people want to browse for.
