Sales Dropped suddenly! from last week

Is it me or there are others as well who are facing the Slow sales?  these days. According to eBay my listings are perfect but still getting slow on sales.

Apparently, I am the odd person out here. My sales have gone up in the past couple of weeks. They have gone up even more since/on/after Monday (10/12). I have not had a ton of sales or anything, but percentage-wise, there has definitely been a large increase. My listings appeared to be "turned off" for a long time. I was only getting a few sales here and there. Maybe eBay turned the tables and "flipped" the switch on for smaller sellers like myself so we could finally get a decent sales volume. Who knows? Whatever it is, I am sure you larger sellers will get back to or closer to normal soon. I am sure the same thing will happen to me too (fewer sales).

It's gotta be due to the financial struggles people are having.....I'm still getting lots of views but far fewer people are pulling the trigger to buy stuff than usual and thats still true after I've priced almost everything lowest on board.

Hoping it will pick up after Thanksgiving.

I thought it was only me, my brother said the same on his account. My sisters are saying the same on their actual stores. bummer and I had started to believe I could make it this year ..

I am so glad for you right now! I am a small seller and had a crazy good summer as far as my sales go. I hope you stay up there. I do feel like a switch flipped on me for sure! 😉

You carry a lot of items that people can make and create at home - one of the few positives to come out of this pandemic time is how many are finding their creative side, and they're spending their time making and creating - you have perfect items for that.  Gardening is another - it has sometimes been tough to get seeds, but man, there have been some great home grown veg and flowers locally (I live in an area where people love to garden).

I'm the same as you.  I started seeing a sale or 2 on every account (5 accounts total) within a week.  Usually go several weeks with no sales on most accounts.  Nothing great really, but I've already doubled last months number sold at halfway thru this month.  I was thinking the buyers are spending their Bonus Bucks that got issued the first of Oct.

Well I tried contacting eBay regarding the issue and they said everything is fine and then they keep switching me between members of customer support from one team to another. and all replied the same. In the end one person said just do what you are doing nothing more is required. So after that I stopped asking them! and previously I had seen drop on Tuesday and Wednesday and now It started again. My products are displaying and traffic is similar on daily basis but still sales are low again

One of the criteria of Search is believed to be sales.

That is, if you make any sales, your position is Search goes up.

Which makes sense from eBay's point of view, since they make money on FVF and someone whose stuff is selling is likely to have stuff people want to buy.
It's circular but ....
My only thought beyond that is, is you sold a Purple Thing you may be getting slightly better placement and possibly adding a Promoted Listing (at 1%, don't go crazy) to your Pink Thing and Blue Thing that you still have in stock might help. Or look in your Unsolds and find the Thing that didn't sell last month, and relist it now to get the buyers who use Newly Listed as their Search criterion.

I don't think it's you. I usually sell at least 1 item a day.  I've not had a sale in 3 days.  Don't get discouraged.

I'm not making a political statement, but there are millions of people wrapped up in the election.

I have had a surge of sales up until this seller hub / managed payment **bleep**.

People are slowly discovering where their money is going, closing paypal accounts or switching cards or moving money around.

Its been a tad slow lately so I blame this new "updated ebay system" at full blame for weekly losses.

I also have a ticket up for my listings not having "Best offer" enabled so check your stuff guys.

but traditionally November-January are busy.

I see from your Feedback page that you are a relatively new seller, at least on this account. (March 2020). Without some historical perspective on your sales, it is likely you are feeling the usual change present in all markets. It may not be anything you are doing, or not doing.

We are moving into the traditional holiday shopping season now. As with all things retail, the market waxes and wanes. It is not unusual to have dry periods where fewer sales are made.  Shoppers may be focusing on gift giving opportunities, and the categories you sell in may not lend themselves well to those particular buyer needs.  Vitamins and supplements are not usual gift fare.

To help jump-start some sales, below are links to ideas that might help infuse some fresh buyer interest into your listings.

My ebay sales droped drastically some weeks ago. I am also getting  more and more low ball offers.
