I'm hoping somebody knows whether or not this works, and/or has suggestions for other options to make this work:
I am currently running 2 sales. One of them is for 10%, the other is for 50% for clearance style for overstocked items. I have the 50% sale using rules for specific store subcategories I have set up, and the 10% excludes those same store subcategories.
My question is if I move an item from a 10% store subcategory to a 50% store subcategory, will it update to the 50% sale automatically?
My thought process is that since the 10% sale excludes those subcategories the sale should drop off and it should be automatically picked up by the 50% sale since I have the option "Include skipped, or new, items when they qualify" enabled in the sale. They're skipped due to being on another sale, and should be picked up by the 50% once the 10% falls off, based on the stated logic of the enabled option.
I just started testing with a single item, moving it to the appropriate subcategory, but have not seen any changes thus far -- not even the original sale dropping off. That may take more time, however, so thought I would also try to pick the brains of others.
Can anybody confirm the functionality of this?

Small update about 2 hours after the test item, there has been no change with the sale on the item.

Doesn't appear to automatically update. That's unfortunate.
