I've only just lately sold several items--relatively expensive ones. Ebay sent me a notice asking for my SSN before they released funds from the sales. Is this legit?
Thanks in advance.

Yes, it is very legit. Have you not signed up for Managed Payments? They should have asked then, if so...
Edit to add: looks like you've had successful sales going on. I would think you are enrolled in MP. Curious...

When you signed up for MP you may have only been required to give the last 4 digits of your SSN - because of the new 1099K rules, eBay now requires the full SSN for IRS reporting.

You must provide your full SSN to eBay because they are required to report to the IRS any gross receipts over $600 in 2022. You have hit that level and will receive a Form 1099-K in 2023 which will also be sent to the IRS.
