Hi All Beautiful Ebayers!
I recently opened a store as it was always a favorite past time with my mom and I when I was a child. I cannot seem to get subscribers so when I put things on sale, send out emails, etc. it is not really efficient..
SOS!
Thanks for all your support/help!
Best,
HH

That was one of the worst moves eBay ever made trying to turn eBay into a social network then they cloned the Pinerest home page, another blunder.
eBay needs new direction at the top of the company.
eBay has new direction and the 'social' eBay was there long before he started. I doubt it's high on his priority list tho.

If you bring buyers to eBay via social media, eBay considers them theirs and not yours, and they will monitor anything you post in your messages. They are cracking down on what they think might be an off site transaction when you try to work with the buyer over price and or shipping/pickup.
If I brought a buyer to eBay using social media, I would expect the sale to happen on eBay. If I wanted them to buy off eBay I would have them contact me directly, not go to eBay and contact me.
That's not the issue. Let's say your letting friends and family know that your now selling on eBay, and they check out your stuff. Then one of them messages you on eBay and say's " hey Pant, give me a call about this item, I like it ", eBay bots will flag that message as a possible circumvention of eBay fees in progress. You can get whacked if eBay chooses to do so. That's no longer your friend and family, it's now eBay's customer.

I have a friend that it happened to. Someone messaged her about pricing on other platforms.. sad thing is, this is how she makes her living
